"The most important thing is the badge. When you play for Tottenham it is not about the names, it is about the team. This season we are showing that we are a team." (Poch, speaking to the BBC, following Swansea 1 v 3 Spurs) Kiss the badge, son! You little magician!
I'd be happy with what you say for keeping Davies and bringing in Sessegnon. Personally I'd rather we sold Daviesand got Keane and a new left wingback in, I reckon Keane can play across the back 3 which would free us up for more rotation and allows Dier into midfield. It'd also give us more time to test out CCV since Wimmer seems to be on his way out too. Janssen did largely nothing until the equaliser. I'm sorry but I think it was the first goal that changed things for us tonight, not Janssen.
Buy Keane as well and start him. Use Dier in rotation for centre-half and holding midfield. Loan out Carter-Vickers.
To succeed in the PL as a striker, you need to be one of two types: a) quick and mobile, able to find space, good close control, accurate finisher or b) tall, strong, able to hold off defenders, good positional sense, powerful shot/good header Jansen isn't a) and doesn't have all the attributes of b). He's an Okazaki rather than Costa or Ibrahimovic
To be fair, neither does Kane. He's always been "a little from menu a, a little from menu b" kinda guy.
Agree but in fairness most teams would miss; Lloris, Rose, Lamela, Kane, Wanyama and Winks. 6 out injured is a lot tbh
Kane is an enigma. He seems to lack some of the qualities you would associate with a top striker. He's not quick, he doesn't outmuscle defenders, he doesn't have mesmerising skills..... but he always seem to find the back of the net. And many of his goals are all his own work.
That was on 88 mins...it ended up City 4 behind Liverpool 5 behind having played 1 game more United and Arsenal 11 behind with a game in hand so it'll be 8 points behind. Very very big difference. In the last 2 games we have gained; 2 points on Liverpool 2 points on Arsenal 3 on Chelsea 4 points on united 5 points on City Crazy last few minutes for us and Bournemouth
I think the answer is he's a good all- rounder without having exceptional ability in one area. There isn't any area of weakness. Aguero is a great striker, but he thrives on quick passing and finding pockets of space. He's no good if he has to challenge with a defender for 50/50 ball or if he has to win a header. Kane can cope with all situations.
Match of the Day: Dan Walker presents midweek Premier League highlights, including Chelsea v Manchester City, Liverpool v Bournemouth, Arsenal v West Ham and Hull City v Middlesbrough. Are you ****ing ****ting me?
Yeah, true. There's a sort of boring brilliance about him. He can score goals out of nothing with just a simple nudge of the ball before burying it in the bottom corner. He can skin players without any fancy flicks and tricks. Even when he scores screamers, they're not smashed in off the bar or audacious bicycle kicks, they're just calmly curled into the net from 20-30 yards.
Still not asleep, I'm calming down now...had a few Spliffs, been listening to Talksport...Toby 'best in' Alderworld was on
I can't believe that I turned it off with fifteen minutes to go with the hump and just checked the results .bloody hell .COYS
