Nope, but I take it you will be going to the game and cheering the swans ? Point is I would rather the swans not take cup games seriously enough to put first team players in, I would rather win reserve games to be honest.

Why dai because I can't make away days ? Some of us has jobs and commitments , and I am only saying what far more believe should be done with cup games, rather than your fairy tales from your delusional mind regarding the club!
Not going to the game, as it's a bit too far for me to travel (I'm in Asia). But I will be cheering them on. It would be great to get to Wembley again, and win the League Cup this time. Then we'll be playing in Euro Cup or whatever it's called next season. It's only the start of the season, so I think it's a bit early to be worrying about things that may never happen (relegation).
Yes and look what happened to last seasons winners, I would rather the club just focus on the league, that is worth an aditional £40m if we stay up, what worth would be a league cup?
So because Birmingham won the League cup and were relegated you think it means that whoever wins the League Cup this season will also be relegated? In that case I hope Man U win the League Cup. LOL. So what's better... A. Getting knocked out of the League Cup by Shrewsbury and being relegated. B. Winning the League Cup, playing in Europe and getting relegated. I'll take option B. Are you saying that Birmingham wouldn't have got relegated if they hadn't won the League cup? How do you know? I don't see how it's possible to even know. It's just one of those coincidences. I don't think there's any correlation between winning the League Cup and being relegated. And what about West Ham and Blackpool. They didn't win the League Cup, but still got relegated. Doesn't that mean that not winning it caused their relegation?
Casual you can only go on past history of the cups , birmingham won the cup and got relegated, Cardiff got to wembley and didn't go up, and there are countless other clubs who have got distracted by the cups at the sake of trying to get to Wembley or the big draw. I would rather lose in this cup and stay up, the longer we are in it the bigger chance we will get injuries! You can twist my words anyway you want, but let me tell you unequivocally, I want the swans out of that competition as quickly as possible. If you or anyone disagrees that is fine, but it's my opinion and I am sticking to it!
If you want to go on past history, there are tons of teams that didn't win a cup and got relegated (West Ham and Blackpool last season) and even more that didn't do well in a cup competition but still didn't get promoted (most of the Championship last season). If you want Swans to get knocked out, that's fine with me, bit I don't know why you're turning coincidences into cause and effect. Birmingham would have been relegated even if the hadn't won the League Cup. A win against Shrewsbury could be good for confidence. If we lose against Shrewsbury and it knocks our confidence and we drop a few points as a result of that, then those lost points could be what gets us relegated. So losing to Shrewsbury is just as likely to get us relegated as winning the cup. What you say makes no sense at all. Or to look at it in a slightly different way, if Forest had got to the FA Cup final you would be saying that was the reason they didn't get promoted. Well they didn't get to the final and didn't get promoted, so your assumption would have been wrong.
A win against Shrewsbury will mean that we have a larger chance of getting injuries in the next game, the more we play statistically the larger the chance, the only reason to play is to give the reserve players a run out, if for example Graham scores a hatrick for us then gets injured and is out for a month , what will that do for confidence ? If you disagree fine, but a hell of a lot of people do actually agree with my opinion, its not the fact that brendan will go out for a loss, he I hope will give these cup games as much consideration as last season, and Sousa the season before, and Martinez the 2 seasons before that !
It's always going to split opinion. We could link this back to the debate on the old 606 about some people predicting we'll win, and to hell with looking like a twat if we lose... and some predicting we'll lose so they won't have egg on their face, I think. While it is understandable to rest players, we should be looking to put a few goals past lower league opposition now. Always treat the opposition with respect, and I believe if you do so (while having a greater pool of talent to choose from), then you'll always come out on top against a team a few leagues lower than you. Obviously, there's always freak "cupsets" but those aside, this is the kind of game we should look to be winning, while giving a run out to players who aren't currently in the starting 11. I'd imagine a lineup something like this could be expected. Morieira Jazz Tate Monk/Ayala/Bates/Williams/Caulker (who knows... and Ash loves it! You know he'll be annoyed if he missed a game now...) Taylor Augustien Harley Gower Routledge Moore Lita. You can't say that by putting out a team like that, that we'd be seriously jeapordising our ability to win that game. We've come a long way, and we are where we are now because we have a good football squad, with players able to come in at short notice and doing a good job while they're at it.
Without checking I'll take your word for that! Last I heard we were in for him I know Bates hasn't signed yet, but if he does you'd fancy Buck to have a look at him (if Monk isn't fit anyway).
whats the paranoia the if players play in the LC they are going to be injured? Play the best -20% side and ring the changes with youngsters coming off the bench
