****ing dreadful. We ran through them for 5 minutes, Should have been two up then pounced about at the back to concede a soft goal and then lose any idea as soon as we got near their box. Sissoko is appalling- what is he meant to be? Whatever it is he drifts about adding **** all. Earn your wages Poch and turn this shower around or we will be heading for a repeat of last season - you can almost read it in the players.....
By the way - why wasn't there a penalty given in the incident where the Swansea player got nearly decapitated by his teammate? Dangerous play isn't opposition dependent is it?
I think that's unfair Eriksen has played several very good passes to open up Swansea, we just haven't got on the end of them.
2 bad mistakes from Pochettino. First was switching to 4 at the back, second was picking Sissoko. Sort both out at half time, dropping Dier, Eriksen and Son deeper and get Janssen on, he's got to do something at somepoint. Pochettino isn't usually one for half-time subs though. Fun fact about the goalscorer, Routledge: He has size 5 and a half feet. We let someone with trotters score against us
I'm not sure why everyone is so irate. We haven't been playing badly at all. The goal was a poor one to concede - Toby and Davies need to do a lot better in those situations. Vorm's dodgy kicking aside, we've totally dominated play. The problem is that our manager trusts Sissoko to do a job. Frankly I can't recall him doing anything of note in that entire half. What he offers that GKN doesn't I'll never know. Son has been awful but then he always is against packed defences. I'd like to see Janssen on for Sissoko with Son dropping into the 3.
We've seen this pattern time and again this season. It is clear that we can cope with 1-2 injuries. Anything beyond that and the dip in quality - particularly in the final 3rd - is alarming.
As long as we don't give Eriksson any free kicks within 40 yards , we may have a chance here . He's sunk us in the past .
