When I was a kid we saved money, not that we had any! by going around and swapping our comics with other kids. I think by the time I was 10,I'd met half the kids in Tottenham!
Interesting article I found on Dembele with quotes from players and managers about how good he is. So wish we had him and Pochettino earlier to see if he would be even better now. http://www.espnfc.co.uk/club/totten...ers-say-about-underrated-tottenham-midfielder
The more I listen to the tv pundits the more I'm convinced they are upset that Man U are not top of the league.Frankly,i don't give a monkey's for Man U. Mind you, I did like to watch them years ago when they had Charlton,Law etc. But that was a long, long time ago in a galaxy far far away. The best team to watch today,of course,is Spurs.....even though we get the hiccups from time to time!

Certainly like the two Manchesters, don't they? They've screwed that one up between them! .....and Rooney saying Mourinho "is a wonderful coach!" Tongue in cheek,I wonder? I wonder if Cavani will play in the PL? I think he is great myself.Scores fabulous goals..........but misses the Darren Bent type goals!
They think that they "should" be there, for a variety of reasons, so they act like something's wrong when they're not. The Special One in charge, The Swedish One up front and The Expensive One in the midfield? Title win, obviously. It's a split between that and blind adoration for a bloke that did well at Barca and Bayern. Because that's really tough.
This is what made Utd popular, Smithy. The tragedy of Munich was followed by a Lazarus-like rise with an exciting team epitomised by Best, Law and Charlton. It might be hard to believe now, but Utd were many people's second team.
So there is nothing actually wrong at Man Utd when : 1. Your manager is as experienced as Jose 2. You have spent 100s of millions on Zlatan, Pogba etc and yet are well off the pace of the current top 2 (one of which is Spurs) ??
Nearly another hiccup at Swansea! Was I the only one kicking the furniture and yelling at the dogs until the last minutes plus?
Here's a note:- Fees paid by English clubs to agents up by 38% to 220 million . Holy crap....and this on top of players wages...transfer fees. HELP!
Saw this on the Hull board. Using the FA data and cross-ref to transferleague, this is what I got for (ball-park *** ) agent cuts as % of gross transfer signings for this season : 6.63333 EVERTON 7.80118 LEICESTER CITY 7.94447 CRYSTAL PALACE 9.25142 BURNLEY 9.78652 SWANSEA CITY 10.4183 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 10.8701 MIDDLESBROUGH 10.9281 ARSENAL 10.936 SOUTHAMPTON 11.9783 HULL CITY 12.5104 WATFORD 12.7523 MANCHESTER UNITED 13.4876 WEST BROMWICH ALBION 16.8601 SUNDERLAND AFC 17.0007 WEST HAM UNITED 17.1405 STOKE CITY 17.2827 MANCHESTER CITY 20.3127 LIVERPOOL 20.9987 CHELSEA 25.2222 AFC BOURNEMOUTH *** some clubs had specific player transfer fees as "undisclosed" (ie zero)
MF stattery (first 63 PL games - goals/assists) : Alli - 26/14 Rooney - 15/7 Scholes - 18/3 Gerrard - 6/4 Lampard - 6/4 1. Alli is 4 assists less than all of them "golden generation" 2. INCOMING !!! on why their stats are better than those of Alli.
Nice to see Doncaster and Sheff United winning promotion. Sad to see the O's going out of the league......for good,I wonder? I use to watch the O's a lot when Spurs were away,in the past. Never saw this coming! Who screwed up I wonder? Or will it be a new home for the West Ham O's?
