HAIG goes to a shrink and the shrink says " I see your problem , you have a split personality , that will be 50 pounds please " . HAIG hands the shrink 25 pounds and the shrink says :" Wheres the other 25 pounds " and HAIG says ' Get it from the other guy "

The new manager is reaping to many of the rewards at Leicester these days , he didn't have to tiptoe through the management minefields that Ranieri had to with a limited squad and making a HUGE impact in Champions League . This is still Ranieri's team IMO and Shakesphere is doing a bang up job not trying to get in the way of a good team , much like Grant did at Chelsea when Mourinho got sacked . Ranieri's hard work in all competitions and the " New Manager " syndrome are as reponsible for the turn around as the " New Man " in charge is IMO .

Let's not get too carried away with Ranieri he took over a winning team with a winning mentality and won something smaller clubs can only dream of. His only fault possibly was thinking he could make things better the players didn't like what he wanted to change and maybe downed tools somewhat.

They dropped into the bottom three and sacked Ranieri and Shakespeare came in and reverted to what they were doing before the tinkering...it's now six games undefeated but the stats say more than I can.

... funnily enough it is where most of us were thinking we would likely be at the start of the season - hopefully still time to climb further now that we have our habitual Spring momentum ... confidence in football is so important - you could feel it tangibly draining away from the Sunderland lads last night ... it was still tight at 1-0 but once we had got the second they were hanging on as we started to run riot. ... huge game tonight between Hull and Middlesbro' ... guess you are hoping for a draw? .. it's draws that kill you ... look at United ... don't lose but don't win ... and thereby slip further behind the rivals ...

We got into a bit of injury problems in defence and with our top scorer . The only team that has less draws than us is Chelsea , which actually proves your point .

I still think Nigel Pearson deserves a lot of the credit for that Leicester team. He is the one who got them battling in the first instance. Ranieri added a bit of sparkle and last season it was a heady mix that won them the league. When it got tough, Ranieri didn't seem to have an answer, but clearly the team still has that grit in them as they are demonstrating now <ok>

Needs to be remembered that Shakey was there throughout ... Pearson built the foundations - but under Pearson Vardy was largely employed as a left winger and Drinkwater and Simpson could not get a game in the Prem for love nor money ... Ranieri played Vardy down the centre from the first game of last season and Drinkwater and Simpson were virtually ever present - Ranieri last season got thing tactically spot on - nobody can be sure what happened this - but he did seem to lose his way a bit ... maybe it was because we had a better squad and he started trying to accommodate people e.g Musa ... for me you can't really play him and Vardy together without compromising one - they are both suited by a central role - but Vardy plays far better when paired either with Okazaki or Slimani ...

Who knows ... but one thing for sure - we shouldn't bhave struggled like we did because the players were always way better than that .. as they are showing once more ... <ok>

Kante was clearly a big loss for you, but the way that players like Vardy and Mahrez seemed to lose their way was alarming.

I think another part of it was Leicester were an unknown quantity last season and teams didn't really know how to deal with it (Apart from Arsenal who beat you home and away :) ) This season though, the proverbial cat was out of the bag and teams knew what to expect. That said, you were in freefall for a while, it's good to see that you've turned it around and in the process handed HIAG his arse back to him <ok>

Except that Ranieri changed half the team making Drinkwater, Simpson and Albrighton regulars and bought in Fuchs, Okazaki and Kante regulars. So yea apart from changing 6 of the 11 lets give Pearson lots of credit.

Might as well give Ancelotti the credit for Zidanes champions league wins and george graham the first 2 PL wins Wenger got.

Fuchs, Okazaki and Kante were all Pearson signings before he left. The only signings Ranieri made were Inler and Benelouane. Inler barely played and Benny has only just come into the team.
Credit to him for changing the full backs after lots of early goals on the season conceded but Pearson takes credit for assembling the team entirely
