  1. There are plenty of professional punters saying that you Gooners are utterly deluded if you believe that you are going to get rid of your most successful manager ever in your history, after slipping slowly into chaos, and suddenly come bad more successful than Wenger!

    Look at 'Pool and United. They are your model.

    'Pool was in mid-table wilderness for a long time before they got any where near looking likely to finish top 4 again.

  5. Don't blame me, mate. It's punters. They've been slagging your club off left right and centre.

    I'm just repeating what I heard.

  7. WENGER INTERVIEW WITH BBC

    Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reiterated his desire to manage next season as he believes "retirement is dying" for people of his age.

    Wenger, 67, has been criticised by some fans after Arsenal slipped to sixth in the Premier League following four defeats in their past five games.

    A 10-2 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League added to the pressure on the Frenchman.

    But Wenger said: "I will not retire. Retiring is for young people."
    (BBC)

    So, it would appear that Wenger intends to stay at Arsenal until they take him out in a wooden box.

    Pixie will be delighted, as he never really wanted Wenger to leave.

  8. Arsenal's hierarchy could come to a compromise over manager Arsene Wenger's future by making him the club's first director of football. (Daily Express)

    That's not going to work, though, is it?

    Look at United. How is it a good thing that Fergie is still there?

    You cannot drive a car from the back-seat, which is exactly what is happening at United, and that is what will happen at Arsenal, if Wenger is permitted to stay.

    Besides, Wenger has already said that he wants to keep managing so that he doesn't die. Playing golf and gardening for 5 days a week, and then sitting round a board table for a couple of hours on one day in the week doesn't seem to be at the top of his agenda.

  9. There will be a major overhaul of the Gunners' squad this summer even if 67-year-old Frenchman Wenger does not leave, with as many as nine players likely to be sold. (Daily Mail)

    So, the club is going to swap the first XI for another first XI?

    This is a club that buys one top player every two seasons!
    <doh>

    Where are all these top players going to come from?

    The delusion emanating from the Arsenal board is beyond comprehension!

  10. Sanchez's favoured option is to sign for Chelsea, but the Gunners do not want to sell to a Premier League rival. (Daily Telegraph)

    So, Arsenal think they can dictate to Sanchez where he plays?
    <doh>

    All the lad has to do is sit on Arsenal's bench and keep taking a wage, until his contract has run-down enough to enable him to buy it out.

    If Chelsea offer £30m, Arsenal's greedy money-grasping owners should, and probably will take it.

    This is not a wum post. There is nothing more I would like to see than a player of Sanchez quality **** off abroad (on the assumption that he won't play for us), but we all have to be realistic, here.

  11. Manager Arsene Wenger's backroom team are increasingly worried about their future amid plans to overhaul Arsenal's structure, which includes the appointment of a director of football. (Daily Mail)

    Backroom team?

    Surely, the hack meant to write backward team?

    These jokers deserve to be worried! They've spent their entire careers doing nothing more than saying "Yes, Mr Wenger!" whilst bending over and baring their buttocks.
