Front 4 of Gray, Mahrez, Vardy and Okazaki are going to be a right handful. If they get an early one we could be up **** creek here.
Ndong starts and no Gibson or Januzaj, baby steps I suppose. At least he's seeing a little bit of what we do then. Still a very defensive and uncreative midfield though. Anichebe on the bench in case we're losing and need a few goals, no problem.
If we sit deep and don't give Vardy anything to run on to, that nullifies him. I'm hoping the 4 centre mids mean he's going to play a diamond to try and bridge the gap that will create between the defence and the forwards. Still means the full backs will have a torrid time of it though.
The diamond will mean Jones and Oviedo will be horrifically exposed and will be taken to the cleaners. Would rather he dropped Larsson and played Khazri, personally. At least he's changed it though.
I wouldn't mind Januzaj playing really in a setup that doesn't mean he has to track back much, we'd be a bit of a threat with him and Khazri and Ndong on the pitch.
Oh they will, no doubt but at least he looks like he's making an attempt to do something to counteract Leicester's strengths.
Had we played with this intensity against Burnley and Watford I've no doubt we'd have done much better. Awful free kick from Larson there.
"Comedy moment involving Charlie Adam. He goes to take a corner but trips and knocks the ball out of the quadrant with his knee. He goes to pick it up, not realising that actually counts as hitting the ball in play and as a result gives away a free-kick. Mark Hughes can't help but chuckle as he shakes his head."
Did you all miss the nudge by the Leics player? If a defender did that causing a miss then it would be a penalty. We were badly done to there.
