I'd say have a look and see what you make of it but no need to prioritise it Never bothered with Taboo, seemed average, any good ?? Need some tv suggestions really, bit outta the loop with US stuff
Big Little Lies is good so far, Taboo is a solid programme well worth a watch. 13 Reasons Why looks good and season 2 of The Get Down is next week and that's superb.
So TWD Finale...It's been a poor season overall, it started well enough with Glen and Abraham getting smashed up but the show then plodded on introducing the communities and new characters. I suppose it was always going to be difficult adding so many characters at once. The finale itself I enjoyed despite some poor choreography in the gunfight. The 2 most interesting scenes were the normal Negan ones with Sasha, we've seen this before with Carl where the personna dropped and we see a normal person underneath that has built this personnality and character in order to survive. I hope we get to see how he became Negan at some point, it dropped again with Sasha, Negan was trying to avoid conflict. Negan now knows he has to fight, that Rick will not bend to his system and accept a role as a provider for the Saviours. All Out War takes the story right up with the comics and that's clearly what's up next beyond that there's a jump forward in time in the comics, it'll be interesting to see if the TV series follows.
Knowing this show they'll probably skip the war, all that good stuff, and leave it off camera to instead spend Season 8 showing various people planting potatoes and reminiscing I hate how they dealt with Sasha's last act, the way they just cut away when she entered the saviour's compound. They should've at least given one small scene showing her going in there and shooting the **** outta a few of Negan's guys who would just be canon fodder doesn't have to be main characters, I mean there's enough canon fodder to do that, before she is captured and subdued, but no, they just leave it because that wouldn't be interesting and cool to viewers and great character development (even if she is basically dead already at that point) Also all the cut scenes with bloody Abraham and her in that finale were terrible - just one scene man would've been plenty but no every ****ing 30 seconds they're cutting away and killing any chance of good momentum building up. And that relationship was never even very well established yet she uses it as the basis to do what she does, not buying that I agree the Negan scenes were interesting, he's a great character, although I don't think he has built his personality, maybe a little bit, I feel it's more he was always psychotic and the new world they're in with no law or structure has allowed him to embrace that without consequences, but yeah there is some element of showmanship with him The battle itself was lame, poorly structured and delivered as you say and Rick is just a total total idiot at this point. He should be so dead by this point but of course all the main characters on this show, good and bad, are unkillable and invincible. If you were Negan when you had Rick and Carl on their knees after that you'd just batter them wouldn't you as a show of force instead of giving them a lecture and telling them what you're gonna do, it's really really really stupid So yeah, basically I hate what this show has become and I hate the idiot producers for letting it become that and denying us what could be some quality viewing
Some good points there and I agree that there have been some problems this season, I still like it overall though, I'm very much bought into the world, it has to be really bad to piss me off. I'm the opposite to you with Negan, I'm sure he's built or maybe expanded on a personality. I loved the scene with Negan and Rick face to face, Negan knows he cannot control him now and has to fight if he wants his version of the world to survive.
There's one surefire way he could've controlled him and that was smashing his stupid bonce in once and for all when he had that easy chance ... but nope
Watched a random episode of Inside No 9 last night, set inside a Samaritans-like help line call centre. It was as horrible and hilarious as the set-up hinted it would be. Pemberton and Shearsmith are ****ing brilliantly evil
Bet your bomber isn't as good as my tank. What I like about BF1 is that it's a proper grown ups game.
Just seen the space between us. Maybe i'm getting soft in my age but it's a sci romance which is bordering on chick flick. I prefer to refer to it as a coming of age film and an exploration of what an alien could be. The plotlines pretty poor, some of the scenes (the end) is a bit far fetched and i pretty much guessed the "big" twist. I enjoyed it a lot though and theres some beautiful scenes plus i quite liked the characters. Not sure why the film got such **** reviews though, i thought it was a lot better than that 8/10
Rotten Tomatoes review below. The Space Between Us strands its star-crossed young lovers in a mind-numbingly vast expanse of shameless cheese that will send all but the most forgiving viewers eye-rolling for the exits.
Tbf i did put a giant disclaimer and it deffo wont be to some peoples tastes. Plotlines sketchy as hell but i did find it interesting and quited enjoyed it lol. Think the characters were interesting 60% of the audience gave it a good rating. Critics hated it. Pretty similar with passnegers really
New season of Girls had started, first episode was brilliant as usual. Well written and funny with excessive and at times pointless nudity.
