Sorry but what has Boufal done to warrant that praise. I agree i was expecting him to be better than Zaha but from what i've seen Zaha is the better player.
I remember Zaha's first Premier League season, he was ****. Considering Boufal joined late, whilst injured and being a bit-part player due to other injuries, he's done alright.
What about Zaha at his best? He can be unplayable at times, probably even more so than Tadic and definitely Sims. Did you really try and claim Sims is better than Zaha? That is pretty funny.
Indeed. Can you imagine the uproar if an Everton fan (for example) tried to claim an academy player of theirs with a handful of appearences was better than one of our regular starters and better players?
OK, including Sims was stretching it, but I'd still have Tadić in front of Zaha. We haven't seen the best of Boufal yet, but we've had enough glimpses to know his potential.
Not this winters Tadic, no way, he has been poor. Zaha makes things happen. Tadic moans he should be in the team because something may happen. I'm still waiting. Palace are going to cause us trouble. And Zaha will be the danger man.
That's exactly what i'm saying, to say Boufal is better than Zaha at the moment is just plain wrong, I agree Boufal has the potential to be a lot better but then again so did Gaston and Osvaldo. At this point in time Zaha is the better player and has more influence on games.
Sakho > Yoshida/Stephens And we haven't seen Boufals best so rule him out. I'd argue Zaha is better than Tadic and are you serious about Sims? That's absurd to suggest sims is better than Zaha!!!
Nah I'd Say although Virgil is clearly better than Sakho he would get in ahead of Yoshida or Stephens. Also think Zaha is better than Tadic.
Sakho is a disaster waiting to happen imho, and no way would he get in the side before Yoshida. I might play him alongside Yoshi, but if VvD were fit I'd play him with either Yoshi or Stephens ahead of Sakho. You may be right about Zaha, I'd probably consider having him in our squad, and Tadic has been erratic at best this season. Not sure Zaha is exactly known for his consistency either though.
Yes, but what I said was that when all our squad were fully fit the equivalent player in our squad is better than Palace's, so it's absurd to compare Sakho with Yoshida or Stephens, that's moving the goalposts. I would argue that Yoshida is better than Dann or Tompkins, who are the equivalent players at Palace. As I said above, I'm sticking to Tadić at his best being better than Zaha, and I think we'll see Boufal come good, but I accept Sims was stretching my case a bit! The only Palace player I'd like at Saints is Cabaye, he is class. Zaha is simply not a Southampton type of player and would never fit in here.
Hard to really quantify an equivalent without just looking the position, so compare all the CB's and pick the best two i.e VVD and Sakho (imo). And fair enough about the rest of what you said. I disagree but that's the point of a forum I suppose, would be rather dull if every post was answered with "Yes, indeed".
Some smartarse has cut all the programmes into a two and a half hour film. Very watchable if you have seen all the seasons, and gives you a good watch if you do not have the time to sit through all the seasons.
Zaha can be unplayable, beats defenders but the problem mis he beats himself as well. Frog in a blender springs to mind when he has the ball
