Off Topic The Burly Arms

I'm about to gently grill some artisan wheat, which has been proved and then lovingly baked. I'll be topping it off with luxury churned Jersey cow milk and the finishing touch will be a fortified yeast extract, rich in colour, bold in taste; some say you either love it or you hate it.

Spent the day in Beaulieu. We drive through it several times a year and always say that we should stop there some time. So this year we did. Beautiful place and the car museum was interesting even for a non-enthusiast. Bit of family tennis at the hotel, couple of pints and then a "Bath Chap" (new one to me, very nice but very unhealthy, see below!) and a bottle of Veltliner at The Pig. Nice day. Will endeavour to roll Mrs Stan over later.

At what point are you in the "shall I cancel all my credit cards or wait a bit in case I find it and wish I hadn't because now I have to wait a week like a **** to get new ones" dilemma in your head mate?

It was a tough call tbh, I'm sure it's in the house somewhere. Due to this new touch card thing I had to cancel. ****ing 5 days now without a card

 

Found a wallet yesterday in Weymouth anyone know anybody that lost one?

 

Been for a run. Outdoors and everything.
Typically the ankles and shins hurt when I run on solid ground but what can you do? At least the knees were ok.

Am now going to shower and off set the run by nipping out for some food before heading off to the pub to watch United draw.

 

So anyways...on my way back home from the gym thought id pop into HMV...my eldest wants to start collecting vinyls, i picked up NWA 'Straight Outa Compton' as his first vinyl...thought id make it iconic.

Now im looking into getting him a decent deck to put in his room...any experts/enthusiasts with advice?

Last deck I had was a Dual back in the day ... excellent quality ... not sure if they are still making...

 

My last was a pioneer PL 12D with Ofton cartridge, pretty amazing kit.
