Liverpool are in the race to sign Atletico Madrid defender Theo, according to claims in the Spanish media. The youngster is currently on loan with Alaves, and his performances have also caught the attention of Manchester City.

AS have reported Liverpool are the latest clubs to show an interest in Theo, along with Manchester City, Real Madrid and Marseille.

Julian Brandt's father: "Julian hasn't made any decision on his future. He hasn't talked to anyone from Bayern."

Maybe not, but if Bayern are interested it's a pretty simple choice for the lad

Bayern are well stacked though, would he get regular game time there? They do have some quality wide players, so unless some of them are moving on he might not get many opportunities.

Robben, Ribery, Costa, Coman, even Muller tends to play wider. That's a lot of talent to get ahead of.

To counter that I guess first 2 are getting older and are injury prone, and Costa sounds like he might be on his way due to lack of game time. So could be a chance if they move on, but might be a risky move if not

I think we all need to understand two things

    a) bild is a total rag. its virtually the metro of germany.

    b) bayern are so vastly above anything in germany that they are utd/rel/psg all rolled into one there. if they come everyone says yes, however if something is really occurring its normally sorted very quickly and they are quite open about whats going on. they don't resort to flaoting stories in other words. they don't need to.

As a result.... who knows what is going on. But if LFc want to do business they need to move very smartly to get it done with dortmund and bayern hoovering up all and sundry.

is Sahko the answer at CB?

We need another quality CB since....well since Sahko was a silly boy and possibly even cost us a European cup final.

Klopp then gave him a second chance and he f#cked it up....acting unprofessionally, being late and generally being a knob.

Reports out of Liverpool have previously suggested that he buckled down without complaint and played with the under 23's...and is now performing very well at Palace.....

So could he be the answer? Would Klopp ever forgive him? It might save us a few quid this summer!

Coman's loan is up in the summer. There is a buy option however, can Juve reject the low offer? (didn't A Madrid do something similar with Alderwield?) Surely they could get more for him now.

Ribery is getting on now, maybe looking at a replacement?

Costa seems the most likely to leave - if we get top 4, he should be top of the list for wingers/attackers.

Personally, I don't think Klopp forgives sakho for what happened because you could argue it cost us the EL final. Then to compound the matter, sakho behaved like a child on tour.

If Klopp and sakho can patch things up, then we have a potentially solid CB's pairing. As much as I like VVD, spending £50m on a player who is of marginal improvement compared with someone we already have doesn't make much sense.

Having said, even if we keep sakho, we still need 1 maybe 2 new centre backs this summer.

Liverpool’s Croatian centre-back Dejan Lovren has claimed that he is close to signing a contract extension after the Reds’ 3-1 win over derby rivals Everton.
Liverpool’s win came courtesy of goals from Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Divock Origi, while youngster Matthew Pennington netted for the Blues.

Lovren and Matip will be difficult to improve on, if they can keep fit from now on

£50m for a crock is insane

klopp is a german... you guys cannot underestimate how he needs to trust and rely on a senior pro and sakho has proved unreliable.

IMO he won't be forgiven like you guys seem to think a few games for palace can bring.

Oh and VVD is 3 times the player lovren is.

lets not start convincing ourselves that the guys who let in a **** tonne of goals are good enough all of a sudden. LFC need at least 6 players net this summer if we are heaed to cl as 3rd seeds in group.

Agreed - left back and LCB should be priority but RB should also be looked at as well.

Really Jimmy? I know Clyne is not great going forward and you think he is suspect positionally at the back (although he has the pace to get back), do you not think you should be looking at your CMs or Attackers before an RB? Someone to give a bit of depth to Mane, Coutinho, Firmino seeing coutinho was injured and off form, when Mane has been out you guys have looked toothless and firmino only plays well 1 in 5. Especially as Klopp doesn't seem to trust Origi or Sturridge.

As for your CM the less said the better, we all know what half the people think of Can, the other half think of Lallana and we know your thoughts on Hendo :D

I was just referring to the defence - we need strengthening all over.

    CM's definitely need upgrading.

And we need another Mane type winger and a striker.

The thing around Firmino is that whilst he hasn't scored many goals, he has been pivotal to our attack. We're the highest scoring team in the country. He creates space and is very intelligent in the final third.
But he does need to convert it into more G+A's.
