Bridcutt is a strange one, he can fail with a straight forward pass then minutes later break up a good looking opposition attack. Hadn't thought about how we had played in his absence until you mentioned it.

One thing I have noticed this season, I questioned why Berardi was dropped for Ayling at the start of the season, why Taylor was dropped for Berardi, why Green was kept in goal, why we hadn't played Antonsson in place of others, why Barrow wasn't given a chance... Each time I would have been wrong, some proved why they were ahead in the pecking order, others showed why they were not being picked (when eventually getting a chance) so I guess I should just have more faith in team selection.

Sunderland manager David Moyes apologises after threatening to "slap" female BBC reporter

DAVID MOYES has been forced to issue an apology after threatening to “slap” a female reporter who was working for the BBC.

Moyes made the threat during a post-match interview with Vicki Sparks, who works for Radio 5 Live and BBC Newcastle, in the wake of his side’s goalless draw with Burnley before the international break.

The Sunderland boss was unhappy with a question about whether the presence of owner Ellis Short at the Stadium of Light had meant that his job was under threat.

At the end of the interview, he broke off to speak to Sparks, whose recording device was still in operation.

“It was getting a wee bit naughty at the end there, so just watch yourself,” said Moyes to Sparks. “You still might get a slap even though you’re a woman.”

Sparks did not make a complaint, but it is understood her BBC employers were unhappy with Moyes’ actions when they were made aware of his comments.

The Black Cats boss has subsequently been in contact with Sparks, and has apologised unreservedly for his actions.

A BBC spokesperson said: “Mr Moyes has apologised to our reporter and she has accepted his apology.”

Completely agree regarding team selection. I have compete faith in Monk and his assistants, something I've not been able to say since the days of O Leary.

We all like to play at being the manager though and we all like to think we know what would improve the team. Personally I always feel more confident when Doukara starts.

We will have to disagree on Moyes

After the exemplary job he did at ManU (could we have asked for more, really?) he can do no wrong in my eyes

I like Dallas, but I know there's a few here that don't rate him. I'm still not convinced with Viera<ok>

Dallas is ****e and wont get any better.
Viera is fantastic for his age and may well get better, perhaps you should just once imbibe a little less before watching a game.
