The little, angry Portuguese bloke stealing a living in Manchester has stopped kicking 19 year old Marcus Rashford just long enough to 'give some' to Luke Shaw. Classy.

Last season proved the exact opposite.

Facts really are your kryptonite, aren't they?

    Assuming :

    1. He is not the new Darren Anderton
    2. A fire sale can be achieved on transfer/wage fees

Would anyone be up for Spurs signing Luke Shaw ??

Or he is now sufficiently "damaged goods" that no reunion with Pochettino
    could revive his career ??

We are thinking that Rashford will :

    1. Get lots of game time indeed with Spurs now wishing to seriously compete on all fronts

    2. Develop immensely under the guidance of Pochettino, a manager who has a good
record of being a great positive influence on the careers of young England players.

There's a very simple reason to pass on Luke Shaw: what he's paid every week at Man Utd is almost as much as the combined weekly wages of Danny Rose and Ben Davies, so unless he was willing to take a 50% pay cut he'd be earning more than two players who would rightfully be ahead of him in the pecking order.

The wage inflation stuff is a serious problem for the clubs who have caused it.
Unless such players are prepared for serious wage cuts to revive their careers,
less stupid clubs cannot take them.

What gets me is when it's the players who are demanding excessive wages, yet clubs are only too willing to oblige. Remember when Joe Cole's seven year stint on the Chelsea bench came to an end? There was no reason for him to demand wages of £100k a week, yet he did - and Liverpool were dumb enough to take him up on the offer, even though plenty of other clubs told him to piss off. Same can be said for Mane dictating terms last summer by saying he wouldn't leave Southampton unless his wages were trebled.

Then there's the players who play silly buggers and their clubs don't call their bluff. Wayne Rooney has been especially blatant over the years with his namedropping Chelsea and Manchester City in the press and, by complete coincidence, getting a major wage hike soon afterwards - and he's not the only one guilty of such ****ehawkery, as John Terry did likewise when he namedropped City and he too had his wages significantly bumped within a couple of weeks. At least when Anelka was namedropping Los Ladrones every transfer window Wenger called his bluff, and as a result got a hefty transfer fee while Anelka floundered in Madrid for a season before being sent packing to PSG.

Told you, it's going to happen. Only a matter of time...my inside source from the Lane is always on the money.

Reports saying Everton will go for Tripps in the summer as cover for Coleman. We paid around £3m for him and the quoted figure is £12m. Very good profit but I hope we say no if an offer comes in, think Tripps has really helped Walker raise his game while also providing great competition. I know we have KWP coming through but for now I think we're much better off keeping Tripps for at least another season, unless he himself would prefer a move.

Every time Trippier starts the papers link him with a move away, often saying he needs to move for the benefit of his career.

Funny how we have never heard similar quotes whenever Fabian Delph actually gets a game at City, isn't it?

Would Trippier move to another club to be back-up? Seems a bit pointless, to me.
Maybe he'd be persuaded by the possibility of Coleman not recovering quickly and Europa League guaranteeing starts, even if he does.
Everton have Browning, Pennington and Holgate coming through who can all play there, so it seems like a non-starter, to me.
They've got priorities in other areas, especially if they lose Lukaku and/or Barkley.

I suppose there's a fear that Coleman may never return the same player, so getting someone like Trippier in would be somewhat of a smart move from Everton's perspective. Plus there's a good chance he'd establish himself as first choice if given a long run - which he'd get as Coleman likely won't feature again in 2017.

All hypothetical of course but I could understand if Tripps felt it was a good move in terms of game time.

    Here's hoping it's a bullshit rumour.

The names of players that need to leave Chelsea would fill a telephone directory.

    1. He now has 39 appearances including 21 starts for us this season, 3rd most in the squad (not short of game time)

    2. He has already played for England and is set to play many more once the U23 tournament is over.

I don't know why anyone gets drawn in by all this transfer speculation in the press. 99% of it is made up; the remaining 1% is dubious.
If you do believe it, then Utd are spending £3.5 billion this summer and will have a first team squad totalling 80 players.
    Dier won't get a game.

    Morning Comrades.

So The Sun(scum) are suggesting Pep wants to sign Rose, Walker and Alli to add to the English contingent.

I tell you what Pep, if you say please you can have Harry Kane too.

Eric Dier's favourite player when he was a kid was Vidic' whose shirt number at United is vacant. I'm embarrassed to know that drivel.
