yes, this is a typical recruitment tactic, instil in the youth a romantic notion of heroism, all sides do it, terrorists/freedom fighters (take your pick on what you call them) and the state, of all nations. "you will be protecting your own people" when the reality is "we want power and control and we want you to die getting it". they recruit the young because they're the easiest to brainwash, as really that's all it is. I recently figured out that the rioting youths of the uk were simply following the moral codes of their government, who decided they wanted the goods in Iraq's window so they lobbed a brick through it, are currently looting it and no doubt will leave it in flames when they've emptied it. and use a load of lies to try and justify their greed. edit: P.S. didn't they teach you about using double negatives?
