I've been to Swords a few times back in the day. Practically my whole family are in Dublin...mostly Artane. Have a cousin that used to live in Swords some years back and stayed there on occasions. Don't ask me whereabouts though as it was yonks ago.
There's a girl on the Irish site from Artane that just bought a season ticket. Any relation Gloucester?
let me higlight the list in my opinion the bolds mean no chance ( my opinion.). wolves west brom wigan norwich fulham bolton sunderland stoke swansea newcastle Leaves with you a chance in my opinion of wolves wigan swansea and norwich. i personally think wolves is better than qpr right now so i think they'll be above you which leaves the other 3. wigan have weakened significantly losing there best player n'zogbia and maybe losing rodallega so unless everyone else at the club steps up there game i think you'll be above them. and swansea and norwich it depends i think they'll give it there all and fight for it so its close.
well the feelings mutual. but where is my opinion wrong there? i personally think every team i highlighted are better than QPR and i personally think your close to wolves but just about not on their level. by the way your a ***
i would need 1 hell of a headstart. 20km to airport 24 hours on a plane 6hour stopover somewhere 5 hours waiting for bags at heathrow if we make qpranger drive via spagetti junction and swords take the ferry i could have a chance
i quite like this thread. half glass empty-ish, but in a really positive way! and it's got legs: legitimate basis for keeping it alive the duration of the season? i believe we've more than a snowball's chance in hell of surviving (swansea, norwich, blackburn, brummies, wolves? easy.) WE'VE WAITED 15 YEARS!!! anyway...good thread, is all. rep.
I disagree, I think Wolves will be midtable. I am amazed you haven't included Blackburn in that list of yours, in my eyes they are a shoe in for the dogfight. They have 1 quality player in each position (i.e 4), I'm not sure that will be enough. All the teams you have highlighted will be clear of relegation IMO except for maybe Bolton who are looking vulnerable and with news that Lee (their most creative midfielder) is out as well as Stu Holden for a while things will be hard, they have the toughest start of any team in the PL in my opinion (along with WBA)
Afternoon Oddball. Merson, Le Tissier etc. have just rubbished our chances and slammed the board. Fairly grim stuff but I agree with everything they said. If Nelly keeps us up this year it will be a miracle.
Early days but I have to say Bolton impressed me, if they can get a positive result against City and cope with the loss of Cahill then I could be proven wrong. As far as I'm concerned outside the top 7 sides whom I believe to be Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, United, Spurs and Everton, it's completely open for me We'll know what teams are working with come end of August and we'll have a rough idea of the 6 or 7 teams that are facing the drop come the end of December or mid January Sunderland in the Championship proved that nothing is lost in September/October
