Maybe you should ask your neighbour's cat about how making a decision on a player based on their performances five years ago is a pretty stupid position to take. For example, any Spurs fan will remember how, back in the AVB Era, seeing Danny Rose starting at left back mainly led to a sinking feeling of dread in the pit of the stomach - but five years later, Rose being injured for a stretch causes that same feeling. Eighteen year old players don't tend to improve if they don't play, and only the moron who lives next door to that all-knowing cat would believe otherwise.

As for the claim that plenty of other youngsters got their chance at Man Utd...and? That doesn't explain how Michael Keane has played more international matches for England than league matches for Manchester United, and since you can only understand things in pictoral form this is the number of international games Michael Keane has played...

As for your line about "cattle", that's just bitterness on your part that Chelsea can make more money off their shambolic excuse for a youth system than your club can.

So, after discounting the extremely unlikely - Lee harvey Oswald didn't act alone and Erik was on the grassy knoll; Erik Lamela was caught dealing crystal meth and did a stretch or he murdered Simba and has been doing Community Service at a Donkey Sanctuary.

We have to consider the unlikely but just about possible - he can't stand that third kit as it clashes with his skin tone; he failed a drug test, he misses Rome so much he's prepared to ruin his career or he's joined the Jehovah's.

Finally, we're left with the only real possibility, he's injured and needs an operation. Funny old world, eh?

Chelsea reach shock agreement to sign Tottenham midfielder - Spanish TV station claim

CHELSEA have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

Sissoko, who joined Tottenham from Newcastle in a £30million deal last summer, has failed to live up to his price tag and Mauricio Pochettino is ready to cut his losses in the summer.

Chelsea were linked with a move for Sissoko following his impressive Euro 2016 campaign with France, but he opted to join Spurs.

However, Spanish TV station Telecinco claim the Blues have renewed their interest in the France international.

It is claimed Chelsea have reached a pre-agreement with Sissoko over a summer transfer in a cut-price deal worth between £12-18million.

Express Sport understands the Blues will face competition for his signature with AC Milan and Inter Milan registering their interest in the 27-year-old.

Sissoko has made 26 appearances for Spurs in all competitions this season and is contracted to the club until 2021.

Just in case you think I made this up, here's the article I copied word-for-word: http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...nio-Conte-Premier-League-Transfer-News-Gossip

According to sources of varying levels of credibility (and the Daily Mail, which has none) we're one of the various clubs considering a move for Sampdoria striker Patrick Schick...which doesn't in any way sound like his agent trying to tie up a better contract for his client after a reasonably successful debut season in Serie A.

Squad number hope for Tottenham Hotspur ace Eric Dier wanted by Manchester United

Manchester United's Marcus Rashford could get the chance to truly emulate Jermain Defoe at Tottenham.

Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford is a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, with
The Sun reporting the Lilywhites are ready to commit £25 million to sign the England ace.

Rashford is tied to United, signing a long term deal with the club last summer, but could there be one factor which convinces him to move to White Hart Lane?

That would be Rashford's admiration for former Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe, who he admitted last month inspired him to wear the number 18, speaking to the Players' Tribune.

Should he move to Tottenham, Rashford would likely be successful in securing his favoured shirt.

Tottenham currently do not have a number 18, with the shirt last being worn by Harry Kane in the 2014-15 season, freeing up the shirt for Rashford if he signs.

You are really, really desperate to get a replacement for Kane aren't you <laugh>

Don't worry Levy wont sell Kane this year, he still has a chance of pumping his price up further with another good season <ok>

Unlike your use of the word "replacement" in other words.

    Apparently this needed pointing out...

    In what way?

    1. the action or process of replacing: the state of being replaced (as in replacing one striker with another)
    2. one that replaces another especially in a job or function (as in Rashford replacing Kane)
    3. a term that does not mean two players lining up alongside one another on a regular basis (because Spurs do not play with 2 strikers on a regular basis)

In the way that not a week ago you were whining that Rashford started as a winger, so doesn't that mean that there is no reason whatsoever for Spurs to line up with both Kane and Rashford in the starting xi with neither man being sacrificed?

Also, I take it you missed the games this season where we had Kane and Janssen play alongside one another...

What are you blathering on about, why would I whine about it, it's his best position.
If you mean I pointed this out to you when you were rambling about him wanting to leave because he wasn't played as a striker just say so.

You really aren't very good at getting your facts straight, are you?

First of all, Spurlock was the one you were blathering about him playing on the wing, not me. It would have taken you thirty seconds to check that, but no, instead you blather on about nothing in particular and think it makes sense when it patently doesn't.

Secondly, something else that takes thirty seconds is comparing where Rashford played matches in 2015/16 compared to 2016/17. It's independently verified that he's gone from starting up front under van Galling to being shunted onto the wing under Moronho, and that was Spurlock's point that you waffled your way to not saying anything about whatsoever.

Thirdly, you are the one who keeps trotting out that Rashford will "replace" Harry Kane one minute, yet the next you say he's a winger. So which is it? Because if he's a winger, not only will that mean Kane and Rashford will be starting games alongside one another, but the fact he's been primarily deployed as a left winger this season (see the Transfermarkt link above) it's no wonder he'd be a high priority for Spurs - because that's the one position in our team that has needed improving since last season, and considering Poch's system has often relied on a player deployed on the left as a second striker (Jay Rodriguez at Southampton, Nacer Chadli in his first season at Spurs) then it makes so much sense to sign Rashford and play him in that exact role.

Lastly, as you said you don't read the papers, where are you getting this information that Harry Kane needs to be "replaced" this summer? You admit you have no sources, just as you have failed to prove that Rashford is staying beyond the end of this season, so do you really think that pulling a spiteful response out of your backside is proof of either club's transfer activity this summer?

You do love to read things that have never been said don't you.
Regardless of who said it, the whole idea of Rashford leaving United was
    1. because he didn't get enough game time......plainly untrue as I showed.
    2. because he is being played on the wing and wants to be a striker (hence the mention of Kane) also bullshit as he likes playing the wing and has done so all his career.

Wasn't me who said Kane had to be replaced, it was one of you lot thinking Rashford was coming there to get loads of game time as a striker.

You do love to post things that have no bearing on reality don't you?

"If you mean I pointed this out to you when you were rambling about him wanting to leave because he wasn't played as a striker just say so." - so you;re saying you didn't make this exact quote about 45 minutes ago? A bit difficult to deny, since not only is it on this forum, but as I quoted your response there's no way for you to go back and change it without making it even more obvious. You're the one who's wrong here, as you couldn't be bothered to take thirty seconds to get your facts straight before you started mouthing off.

So, no, it is not "regardless" - the fact is that you were wrong, as you always are when you visit our forum to prove your neighbour's cat knows more football than you do, and you are trying to dodge having to accept that you are wrong by pointing the finger and claiming...something.

As for your bullet points...oh dear, I'll have to do these out of order to make sense of them
    2. Rashford has not played on the wing his entire career. He played up front last season. I have provided actual evidence to support this.
    1. You admitted that he wasn't playing up front, which is what has been said here repeatedly by several posters long before you showed up.

As for your claim that you didn't say Kane needed to be replaced...
22nd March 2017: "Still, like you say, once Kane moves in the summer you will need someone up front."
27th March 2017: "Don't worry Dave, they are just really desperate to find a fitting replacement for Kane."
1st April 2017: "You are really, really desperate to get a replacement for Kane aren't you"

So you're saying that none of those are direct quotes from posts you made in this topic in the past couple of weeks? I hate to break it to you, but the Kellyanne Conway approach doesn't work here - those are your quotes, with links, so the only choices you have left is either admitting you made them, trying to deny you made those comments and looking foolish as a response, or clicking on those links and editing them to say anything else...which won't erase them, as each time those comments have been quoted by other posters, so they still exist.

And once again, as you clearly didn't address either point:
i.) We've played with Kane and Janssen up front this season
ii.) Funny you ignore the point about Jay Rodriguez. Is it because you realised it made an awful lot of sense?

You really need to read what you are quoting in context, that way you may make some sense.

Go on then, cut it short and tell me why Rashford wants to leave United to go to Spurs.
