I expect he'll be a starter in the early games, and first choice as long as he is in form. He's still our most dangerous and direct winger when he is playing with confidence and consistency. But too early to tell what will happen during the season - if he loses fitness or form then he'll get dropped same as pretty much anyone.
Yes, yes and yes! Nani will be the PFA Player of the Year this season mark my words. If this is for Fantasy League then keep him in your team and make him captain.
ide say he'll race out of the traps this season. whether he stays in the team depends on how much he learned from last season (ie. go for the most productive option, not the most impressive-he was guilty of trying to do too much at times, especially towards the end) but i imagine young and valencia will only be preferred to him if he drops from form. as for park, well you can never predict. he is our most reliable attacker in big games and had a fantastic preseason, so i can see him getting a lot of gametime again this season, even if its not on the wings.
SAF has said that Nani is first choice plus he has said that Young will primarily play on the left which means that Nani is in his preferred position. I love Tony, don't get me wrong, but I feel that Young and Nani should be our first team wingers against, well anyone. Park could play anywhere and be just as effective. You can't be able to do that unless you are supremely talented and Ji is certainly talented. All in all, fantastic wing options for us and even more waiting in the wings like Morrison and Larnell Cole.
It's very hard to believe we've assembled Nani and the headless chicken (Young) into one squad - if Nani played in a foreign league, he would have been looked upon. But, he's playing in Manchester, and has to accept the fact he's playing alongside the likes of Young, Jones and Evans. Nani is arguably the best winger in the Premier League, who's capable of using either foot, and at the same time able to outpace the opposition players without a doubt. Furthermore, in my opinion, Nani's the best player in the Premier League. How on earth can Valencia and Young be competition to Nani? Comparing the above two I've mentioned to Nani is underestimating Nani's ability.
Hizmo have you ever watched Jones or Young actually play? Jones is one of the most promising players in the league and I'm delighted we landed him. Watch him mature and challenge for more and more first team games last season. As for Young, he is already a good player. Great pace and excellent at delivering a killer cross. His game will dramatically improve now he's playing at OT. Rather than condemn our signings, how about supporting them?
Hizmo, I agree Nani is the best winger and is at worst one of the top 5 players in the league but Valencia is a very very good player and quite rightly gives Nani competition. Jones is a player with a very very bright future. I am not Youngs biggest fan but he certainly does his job well. Hope he can continue it at United. Constcrepe - What a gif in your sig, what a goal. I hope thats not the best football we play this season.
Agree about Constcrecep's sig. Wonder if it would have been nicer had Nani hit it the first time into the far post, rather than take a touch and chip it.
That's completely irrelevant to the thread. I honesty cannot understand why you feel the need to spoil a sensible ongoing discussion relating to the almighty Nani.
nani just missed an absolute sitter, really poor stuff!!! No doubt he will score a hat trick though he is THAT good lol
