Just to let you all know, we'll be fine this season. I've recently played a whole season as the Swans in the Prem, and we're 11th with 6 games left so very much safe. We went out of the Carling Cup to Man Utd in the semis, and out of the FA cup to Chelsea in the quarters. In case anybody is wondering, Football Manager is not a game. It's a simulator, very much like what pilots and racing drivers use. Basically, whatever the game says is true. We do need to make a couple of signings to ensure we replicate this level of success though...
Doey, I've got a FM save file in 2022/2023 and I've won the Premiership 6 seasons in a row! I can't wait until real life catches up with it...
Loving that Scott! Well I started with the squad the Swans have not including Vorm or Moreira, but including Caulker and Graham. I signed a couple of players along the way: Fabian Carini (No. 1) Roy Carroll (Desperate) Matthew Upson Juan Roman Riquelme Gael Kakuta (Loan) Reo-Coker (Free) Mikkel Thygesen Benni Mcarthy But the players I had here really stepped up. Dobbie has chipped in 17 goals and Moore with 15. Who else plays FM then? Tell me your stars.
Gotta love a spot of FM. Really weird thing was I randomly signed Vorm in my 2nd season (first in the Prem) about 6 months ago...for £1.5m as well...really spooky when I heard we were signing him in real life. If he's anything like he is in the game we have got ourselves a bargain, he is immense! Adam Hlousek is probably my best player (got him from Slavia Prague for £2.4m) - left winger, but I'm playing Scotty up front and he's doing well. Also just snuffled Patrick Vieria on a free (him & little Joe in center midfield is a treat!) PS. If anyone has heard of the Faces Megapack (Really adds to the game)? I put it together, and am happy to post out DVDs to just us Swans Not606's - PM me.
Rangel was my Prem right back until 2016 I think, but now I'm pretty much out of "real" players. I've got Mamadoi Sakho, Gareth Bale and Igor Akinfeev though! Also, I signed a 6'6" German CB called "Bernhard Klingmann" who is the balls
It's a way of life Jager! If you've never played it and value your relationships and spare time it would be wise to steer clear
Love a bit of manager. Anyone remember cm 97/98? You could just pass the disk around to your friends and everyone could play it. When is the new football manager out with swans in premier?
yeah it is for the pc, you can become a manger of any team you want and make them successful Season 2022/23, cheese , do you play it alot
I haven't played it for ages due to a knackered laptop, but said computer is now out of retirement! Time to bring it back out I think...
If you've got FM11 there are some updates about with the most recent transfers, and clubs in the right divisions etc... Not sure when FM12 is out, must be soon.
The game hasn't even been announced yet but I know someone on the beta for FM12 and they just started testing this week so expect a late September/early November release date. I didn't realise there were so many FM fans here, kinda sad that none of you are signed up to FM-View (which I run). Click the link in my sig, check out the podcasts (with my sultry tones) and the Tour (which I run and dominate!). It'd be nice to have some Swans fans on there to balance out all the Scottish regulars we have I can't wait to see what SI have planned for the next version, think we're going to have Miles Jacobson back on the podcast when the game is announced to speak about the new features - just hope they have realistic stats for our players this time
Has anyone worked out a way of doing online network games for free? I had a local network game going with two mates a while ago, which was pretty good, but the online official network was really expensive last time I checked
Network games are always free as far as i'm aware... Me and my brother have played numerous network games using Hamachi.
Football Manager is the best thing in the world! lol Anyone ever play the LLM rules were you have to start in the lowest league of a country. Find it a bit more fun than just going a good team and winning everything all that time!
LLaMa Rules can be fun but they are also very restrictive. I prefer the FMV Tour: three seasons, one club, everyone comparing how they did with each other to win that leg. Ahh, can't wait for the new game so I can arrange to Tour the Premiership with Swansea
