Have you been to Whitechapel in the last 20 years there is a great mixing pot of cultures ?
Bangladeshi Pakistani Indians and Africans , this is British society now and we should embrace more migrants to use up some of those thousands of spare houses and that massive pot of tax money that we can't spend .
If anyone in Africa hasn't got enough money or food to feed their 9 children only a heartless racist would deprive them coming to the UK .

Funny that, cos I was down Brick Lane the other day, and the queue outside the Jewish owned Bagel Shop was it's usual 1/2 mile long.

"The" and I call bullshit we have both been to that Bagel shop but I don't believe you have been there recently and 10 people doesn't constitute a half mile.
Mainly hipsters that read about it in Time out than a meeting point for the local Jewish community.
I went through Whitechapel almost every day on the bus from Forest gate to Tottenham Court road and it's 90% Brown Asians there now .

 

It's a Shoreditch hipster and tourist spot the only Jews you will see there are the staff.

**** knows why you always "call bullshit" whenever anyone says something that doesn't fit your strange view of them or the world. I was there less than a month ago, after visiting a few of the pawn shops on Bethnal Green Road (I do a little bit of "antique" dealing on the side). That Bagel Shop is famous as one of the oldest Jewish business's in London, and there are always queues, especially on a Friday lunchtime (when the traffic is also backed right up the Mile End road because of Friday prayers at the East London mosque).

But as usual you miss the point. East London has always been home to generations of immigrants. If you researched the history of the area,you would know that a) previous generations of immigrants attracted the same prejudice, hatred and fear that you seem to feel towards the current lot, and that b) the area has always been home to poverty and crime. In that regard it's a lot safer to walk around there now than it was back in the 50's and 60's when my dad worked on the London docks.

Working class London is currently under far more threat from gentrification than it is from immigration. The history of London is a history of immigration.

 

Don't suppose they're fussy who they sell to; I've yet to meet a Jewish business owner who was. The fact is that shop's clientel covers pretty much everyone from local residents to drunken ravers to Taxi drivers. Its always been busy, and it certainly was in the 80's when we used to make stoner munchie runs down there at 2.00 am in my mate's old Cortina.

 

I love true multiculturalism where a Jewish Deli is serving food next to a Italian family run pizza shop the next street you have Korean BBQ and Falafel house and an Argentinian steak restaurant and they all get on with each other and enjoy each others cultures.
Dating each other and over generations becoming a hybrid society with their own cultural roots.
Muslim women are forbidden to marry outside their religion and if they leave the religion they were forcibly born into the done thing is for the family to murder them .
They don't want to mix with us and they are not asymilating to our way of life.

This is how it's sold to us and if it was actually happening then that would be tremendous.
Having 45% Bangladeshi muslims living alongside 20% Pakistanis and 25% White Englishmen (the Jews that are born here are included in this category ) is not multi culturalism.

Whitechapel and Tower Hamlets is a predominantly Bangladeshi area and as they tend to breed at a higher rate than the whites then they will only become more and more prominent.
When white English people that may have Polish Hungarian Scottish Irish French Italian roots are a tiny minority in England's capital city this to me is a problem.
The level of unemployment in this area where over dbout 90% of the Bangladeshi women are not expected to work and only about 60% of the men work is very costly for the tax payers also.
The only people that are doing a roaring trade are the drug dealers and housing officers.
You may thing having a Muslim mayor is a great thing but clearly muslims voted for Khan because he is a Muslim much the same as black people did with Obama.
Keith Vaz is the most successful Asian politician for ****s sake.
With Lutfar Rahman being the only choice as local MP he still had to fraudulently gather votes.
Hardly progress in my opinion.
When this community has a half Pakistani half Japanese highly educated woman representing this cultural diverse area and running for local elections I will start to believe that forced Imigration on Landoners is a good thing.

He was arguing the other day that making a fuss about a black muslim man driving a hire car into tourists was racist .

That some young guys were stabbed and shot in East London and it doesn't even make the National news.
The victims and killers were all black but this didn't get a mention.

I voted for Sadiq Khan btw. Not because of his religion but because he is the son of a London bus driver, and therefore imo likely to have some empathy with the lives of ordinary Londoners.

 

I agree the racist card is played every time to shut us down, which is quite strange as I actually have not had a bad word to say against any colour, race or religion. Well I might wind the Irish and Scots on here up occasionally but that's about it.

But I do believe in protecting Nationalism and Culture. If I moved to Spain, I would expect to buy my own property, I would expect to work or contribute towards their economy etc

I ask a question of the remoaners, why do young fit able men flock to this country having crossed many other countries to get here, without their women and children, let's see if they actually know the answer?
