High press, closing down your backline so your keeper is forced to kick long, out working you in the centre of the pitch.

    That's what he means.

Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge out of Merseyside derby
Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge have been ruled out of Saturday's Merseyside derby, live on Sky Sports.
Sturridge has been out since February 4 with illness and a hip injury but was pictured at Melwood on Thursday, raising expectation he might return for Everton's visit, live on Sky Sports.
But Klopp ruled out Sturridge at his Friday press conference and also revealed Henderson's return to training, originally scheduled for this week, has been put back for the foreseeable future.
Henderson's foot injury has kept him out for four games, and Klopp said: "Unfortunately he is not in team training right now. I can't say for how long. Next week it doesn't look like this too. So we have to wait.
"It's only a question of time, unfortunately. There's nothing we can do. Sometimes the issue isn't big enough and if there was a little chance he could run he would.
"But we have to be careful and not take a risk. It's always too long with injuries. There's nothing else to do."
Adam Lallana suffered a thigh injury while away with England, but Brazilians Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho are available after taking a private jet back from South America.
"Coutinho and Firmino are okay," Klopp said. "How fresh? We will see on Saturday. Club did everything to bring them back as soon as possible."

Provisional squad: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Coutinho, Mane, Origi, Firmino, Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Klavan, Moreno, Lucas, Stewart, Woodburn, Wilson.
There's no reason for Everton to be afraid of Liverpool says Ronald Koeman
While admitting his side did fear Jurgen Klopp’s men this time last year Koeman says the same can’t be said this time around
Ronald Koeman insists he isn’t afraid of Liverpool as Everton look to end their nightmare run against their bitter rivals.
The Toffees haven’t beaten the Reds in six years and haven’t won at Anfield – where they play tomorrow lunchtime – this millennium, a fallow run of some 18 years.
But while admitting his side did fear Jurgen Klopp’s men this time last year Koeman says the same can’t be said this time around.
Key match stats (supplied by Opta)
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 12 league encounters with Everton (W5 D7 L0). Only once before have they gone on a longer undefeated run against their neighbours (13 games between 1972 and 1978).
Everton’s last Premier League win at Anfield was in September 1999 (W0 D8 L8 since) and they have lost two of their last three away games there by a 0-4 scoreline.
This fixture has seen 21 red cards shown, more than any other Premier League fixture. Ramiro Funes Mori was sent off at Anfield last season for Everton.
Jurgen Klopp could become the first Liverpool manager to win his first three league Merseyside derbies against Everton.
Romelu Lukaku has scored five times against Liverpool in the Premier League, but only one of those goals has come at Anfield (February 2013 for West Brom).
Romelu Lukaku (21 goals) is the first Everton player to score 20-plus goals in a single Premier League season. In comparison, Liverpool have seen a player score 20-plus goals in a Premier League season on six occasions.
The Belgian striker has scored 11 goals and assisted three more in 10 Premier League appearances for Everton in 2017 so far.
"In the last two seasons Everton were maybe afraid to play against Liverpool but why you need to be afraid of Liverpool I don't know,” he said at his pre-match press conference.
Morgan Schneiderlin will miss the match after defenders Seamus Coleman and Ramiro Funes Mori were already ruled out for the remainder of the campaign after suffering injuries while away on international duty.

@Tobes just got the game preview email from the Anfield Wrap, think they're talking about you mate

IT doesn’t really need any introduction, does it? A Merseyside Derby always matters and always will. And this one seems to matter a little bit more.

For a section of our neighbours’ support, their go-to phrase when discussing us lately is that apparently “our heads have fell off” because they might spend a bit of money sometime soon, and they might get a new ground.

They’ve done alright lately, especially when compared to the days of routine relegation fights, but as usual it seems they’re getting a little bit carried away.

And after all the talk of heads rolling around, the irony then that this article from Ben Johnson on TAW this weeksparked absolute outrage on Blue forums and prompted one Evertonian to lose his head on local radio.

BTW that article about the stadium is quite interesting, I like these lines:

I don’t know about you but given the build-up to the press release of their new super duper ground on the Docks, I was expecting something a little more advanced than a frigging heads of terms agreement. The build-up would lead you to believe that they had built the ****er and hidden it behind a load of containers, like that fella who tried to blag planning permission for a mansion on his farm by hiding it behind a wall of hay bales.

What we got instead was an agreement to pay a certain cost, for a certain piece of land, confirmation that they have got no dough to build it despite them being billionaires, an agreement from the council to act as guarantor on the debt in return for £4 million nicker a year over 40 years and an estimated build cost of £300m quid plucked from thin air.

If I were them, big massive alarm bells would be ringing here. Their owner, when he bought the club, was seen as a saviour, a billionaire to project them into the 21st century, finally able to compete on a level playing field. Except, at the time, they were briefing pretty heavily that he wouldn’t necessarily be putting his own money into transfers as such, more investing in infrastructure, a new ground perhaps. Here he is, a billionaire they will have you know, who is trying to broker a deal to build a new stadium, without so much as a pound of his own money being at risk.

Farhad Moshiri will be the majority shareholder of a club which is building a massive asset at no cost to himself. Is it just me that thinks that this is what big Tom Hicks tried to do with the Reds?

I’m intrigued to see the design, I mean £300m seems like a lot of money, doesn’t it? Except when you think that the Emirates (finished in 2006) cost £390 million and Wembley cost nearly £800 million. When you factor in the strength of the pound and the looming Brexit induced financial blackhole, they might end up moving Goodison piece by piece and getting a couple of joiners to stitch it back together.

He's bigging up the impact of a ****e article there. I'm on GOT the biggest Everton forum and that article has never been mentioned.

The standard "I'm not arsed, honest" response, but then he writes an entire piece trying to bring it down, and even idiotically tries to compare Moshiri, to H&G who leveraged their purchase price onto Liverpool ffs. He's not bothered though..........honest <laugh>

Like you're not bothered Moshiri lied about investing in the squad and lied about investing in the stadium?

Moshiri never promised to pay for the stadium and has invested in the squad, and will invest further this summer. The fact that he's not lifted the net spend trophy doesn't matter a jot, as we humped City for £50m for a player you reckon is ****e, I'd call that great business and I'm sure you would ;)

Hendo's a bit of a crock these days. Must be related to that injury from last year which was supposedly career threatening?

his dodgy running motion that Fergie didn't want to sign him for? Probably.

It's a shame really, although you don't think much of him jimmy i thought he was a fantastic box to box carrier. Not technically brilliant and doesn't read the game as well as a kante but i thought he was up there in terms of his energy and being a solid player (far better than the likes of your milners, savages and cans).

yep definitely a worry over his long term future as he is one of those players whose physical ability is probably his premier asset ,though not his only one Jimmy :emoticon-0183-swear
