Odd choice of song too, Sit Down, by James. Wouldn't have been a song I would have paired with Game Of Thrones...... **** the trailer anyway, I want the season to start.... Looks as though Daenerys has her base at Dragonstone, Stannis' old gaff, and before that, the home of Daenerys' brother Rhaegar, and before that, Aegon the Conqueror, of whom she is a descendant, who conquered Westeros with 3 dragons Noticing some poetry here.
yeah but its Ni based show and NI band yeah? i think so... its touched by madness, touched by tragedy or whatever.. sadness. it i fitting but the type of music doesn't fit the show ethos. But yes it tells us bascially where the fleet is landing. there is one thing i've never understood about westeros. The lannisters ****e hole is right bang on top of the iron islands.. i mean right on top. how the **** have the lannisters not ended them long since.
Because the Ironborne have a far superior navy to the Lannisters, the Lannisters would own them in a ground battle, but the Iron Islands are Islands, and the Lannisters have no where near the naval capabilities to outfox the Greyjoys.... 9 years before the show started the Greyjoys rebelled against Robert and their first port of attack was Lannisport, the naval base at Casterly Rock (The Lannisters home) and they completely decimated the Lannister fleet at Lannisport. Theon mocks Tyrion in the second episode about it, before Tyrion reminds him that after that, Robert called all the Lords and the entirety of Westeros sailed to the Iron Islands and kicked their arses in retaliation. Thoros of Myr and Jorah Mormont managed to breach the wall at Pyke and they both lead the charge to defeat Balon Greyjoy. Jorah was knighted after the battle. Twice in the show (Jaime and Jory Cassel in season 1 and Jorah and Ser Barristan in season 3) reminisce about the battle, when Thoros charged the lines with his flaming sword. Thoros is Paul Kaye btw, the guy who leads the Brotherhood without banners with Beric and the Hound.
Thats scrubs though. It was a comedy and doing odd stuff was part of it. There is a tendancy for light entertainment shows that pretend to be serious to break into song or be silly once a year now. However for sone reason law and order svu has never dobe it
Watched 2&3 of Big Little Lies, really good show. Also watched the first of a 2 part show on Netflix about the great train robbery, which was good.
Watched game of thrones battle of the bastards last night. ****ing loved it! The battle it's self was superbly done. The direction of the fight scene made me feel like I was in it. The awfulness of a battle like that-eye to eye, people dying in the most dreadful way, blood and guts and stink. Both brilliant and terrifying.
The bit where the Bolton forces surround and crush the Stark army made me feel claustrophobic, which was obviously the point. The whole episode ramped up the tense feeling, one of the best.
As Good as it Gets....again.. He's basically just him in every film but he's particularly Jack in this one...lol
watched it again recently and couldn't help but be underwhelmed ... too much dumbassery on display smh
