Maybe - but we certainly, in the season following relegation, would've been £50m worse off (which is where my argument stems from) - Defoe's goals kept us up so it's not like it's a waste of money allowing him to leave for free - he owes SAFC nothing But for certain the club has been terribly run - sad reality is that it's been, "technically" the most successful period for the club in my 41 years on the planet - things have been far worse on the pitch (Lawrie McMenemey for one) but behind the scenes, I can't recall my club being so poorly run - the only positive is that he converted the debt to shares (I think that's how it's termed) so he cannot demand his money back unless he sells the club for in excess of (i think) £150m - and he's not going to get that much for a championship club so, hopefully, he'll see fit to do what Ashley did last season and allow the manager to spend any incoming money
It'll be the game where Pogba finds his boots again and turns back into the player I know he is going to be!! Hope I'm wrong mind!!
I'm trying to keep those thoughts at back of my mind ... but that could well happen or not for a change - Revenge of Moyes
