You said it in an earlier post mate, the opposition is unelectable, Corbyn is like Sturgeon in the fact that it is all about them and not what's best for the Country, I don't think it's ego but more them living their dream. I lived and worked in Edinburgh for many years and there's no way the Scots will vote Tory, therefore this wee girl will carry on her dream after probably watching Braveheart a few to many times and will go all out for an Independent Scotland, what happens after that mind will go straight over her thick head..<ok>

The UK Government has said that Scotland could end up as a Third World country if they try and vote again for independence.

I don't know if things will improve to that extent, but you never know.

Never been over bothered about politics but I have to admit I actually like listening to Teresa she actually sounds as though she knows what she is talking about. personally I fancied the other lass to get in but I don't think she would of been as strong. imo.

Brought up in a north east mining village so always had a labour bias. So I'm looking at Theresa May in the same way as I looked at Bobby Robson. You know you shouldn't, but can't help, and don't mind admitting that although they are devoted to the enemy, they are good and actually likeable.

She may appear that way and at the moment I am inclined to agree. However, winning the people over with Brexit, taking a hard line with Europe, then as Billy alluded to call a snap general election whilst Labour is in dissaray. She wins and then we will see the real Theresa. Tory thru n thru and couldnt give a flying one about the NE.
Hope I'm wrong but somehow I doubt it.

PS, yes Comm I would hang out of her.

I was hoping for Andrea Leadsom but I'm humbled by this lady, taking over from Cameron who I personally think deserves a lot of credit, May has risen to the challenge and has it in her to become one of the greats.

She won't be mugged off by these EU chumps attempting to frustrate Brexit. Juncker is going to resist every deal attempt, because he knows if May makes a good job of it, the rest will fall like a house of cards.

Apparently Sturgeon has written the letter requesting a Referendum, so maybe she is just doing what is best for the Scots which is commendable in itself.

They got their wish to leave EU and turned down independence so either she is totally out of touch with reality or they have researched how people are feeling now, otherwise she has no case.

She has her own case an nothing more.

    85% turnout for Indyref 2014.

    67% turnout for Brexit.

More people voted to remain in the UK than those who voted to remain in the EU. Forget percentages, it's total votes that count.

The Queen should be ordering her head to be removed from her body for attempting to frustrate the will of a nation.

And 16% of Scottish-born people live outside of Scotland but inside of the U.K.

I make that about 800-900,000 people.

Does Sturgeon just ignore how they may have voted?

I once went to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides.
It's like a different ****ing world up there.
    Devil worship, wife swapping, voodoo.
It all go's on up there. What a strange place it is.
If you go, make sure you have a local with you or you may get into bother. <ok>

Oops, my bad research as I only looked at UK vote overall. We could be going back to James Stuart taking the throne back in the 16th century so really Scotland should be dominant country!
