i like how as the thread goes on they start realising they actually like us and start trying hard to think of reasons to hate us
Merson says 3-1 Saints as Bournemouth are punching above their weight because their ground only holds 12000. Until they get a bigger ground they can't compete with the big teams. They seem to be doing quite well to me. I don't get this rivalry with Bournemouth. Where has it come from? I like Bournemouth.
Can't wait for Arsenal v Spurs in a season or two when he says 1-0 Spurs because they have a stadium bigger than Arsenal's.... by 1,000
I think most of us do, to them though we're the most 'arrogant fans in the land' I think it's because they don't have a big rivalry to speak of.
Yep it was interesting when one of the papers ran a poll of fans a few years back of PL teams they liked and disliked the most. We were their most hated and they were our most liked
It's nice to have a game (full stop) but it's nice to have one with a bit of extra edge. I like Bournemouth and consider Brighton to be bigger rivals. If they get promoted that will be a feisty one.
Agree Brighton will have a lot more edge than Bournemouth if they come up. This does feel different, but losing to them is not much different to losing to most other sides to me, compared to losing to the blue few...
For once Merson goes for us...and I still hate his reasoning. Disgraceful to judge a team by the size of its stadium. Bournemouth are higher than some clubs with bigger stadiums....according to his reasoning they should be bottom. Punching above your weight should be a compliment.
You should see Lawros reasoning for his prediction of 1-1. No analysis whatsoever. And he calls himself a pundit.
That rivalry seemed bigger between the clubs than the fans. Remember we played extended highlights of our win at the withdean right before kick off in the championship. Wonder if things have calmed down in the interim and the changes in management
Possibly discussed previously, but nice to see Pied in training in that clip. Get the job done Saturday and the team will be able to play stress free for the rest of the season. I know every place is worth x and blah blah, but think some of the squad will benefit with a little pressure lifted
