Nonsense mate! Never had a PC as I don't game with mouse and keys. The game you question was operations on BF1, the round can last about 45 minutes. Think about it, 32 enemy players and I'm just flying above them dropping hundreds of bombs. Tbf that's not even my best kill count, just an example from last night. When I say FPS I'm gong back to games like Goldeneye etc. (although they might have been 3rd person, can't remember). If I stay on foot I'm usually hitting about a 3 KDR, so I'm far from being a pro, I can hold my own though.
Mouse and keyboard is ****e. No skill at all, it's just about speed. I guess I never bothered with PC gaming so just automatically stuck to consoles. PC gaming seems full of total geeks
lol okay, gotcha can't believe i got a bite from you... i thought it was obvious half my post was in jest... I've never played any of the FPS's on consoles as i hate control pads so have no right to question what you can and can't do. Judging by you in a bomber it doesn't surprise me you were mugging people off. Ah forgot about goldeneye on the N64. Classic game. I was class at that game but mainly because i was very good at screening my opponents and realised you could get headshots easy by defaulting the aim a little higher. Whoever picked oddjob ****ed me over though!
Mouse and keys is the only way. You cannot play an FPS on a control pad to any level of competency. Give me any FPS on mouse and keys, and pit me against a guy on a control pad, I will whip his arse 99/100.
Missed the boat? I been playing FPS on mouse and keys since 1996. Since Quake 1. You cannot beat Mouse look. The thumb stick on control pads are not sensitive enough, plus you have far more dexterity and precision ability in your wrist (mouse), than you do in your thumb (Control pad).
yup mouse and keys are much more sensitivity and everything happens much faster than the control pad. That's why in overwatch PC and Console versions, there is slightly different metas for the heroes. The Engineer class which can build turrets has a weaker turret in the console version as it's auto-aimed and people find it harder to kill.
I get the impression it's all about speed, I can't see the skill in being the first person to get the mouse to a target. Probably because I'm not a PC gamer, but I just don't get it.
You could say the same about anything, sharp shooting, archery, boxing, "I dont see the skill in being the first person to land a punch on target". Your enemies are moving and trying to kill you too. Playing an FPS with a control pad is like trying to steer a car with your chin, its totally impractical and pointless. I guess when everyone else is just as gimped as you, it evens things out, but it would be like watching a football match between two teams where both sets of players have their hands tied behind their back. Nowhere near as fun to play, or as entertaining to watch.
I only do PC because I don't want to spend $30 for a single game. With PC, wait for any game to be a year old and it's almost certainly going to be $15 or less on the next big steam sale. Plus, I already have a PC, wouldn't want to spend money for a console to play games on when I already have a PC. Besides, most good strategy games are better with a keyboard and mouse.
Quake 1 was where it was at mate. Not like the slow paced watered down bullshit these days. Graphically they have come along leaps and bounds, but gameplay wise......woooo, you needed mad skillz to compete in those days. Check this out.....I knew both these sets of guys from back in the day.....fast paced madness
