We really need Boufal to step up, but there's nothing to suggest he's knuckling down. Benched on international duty, and they are not the best team by any stretch.
Claude said Boufal was lacking confidence due to the expectation and he was going to have a chat with him. Hopefully people won't start getting on his back as that won't help.
Boufal just needs a run of games. Mane was no great shakes when he was in and out of the team at the start of his Saints career, and he didn't have the injuries that Boufal has had.
Can't help but think that due to his lack of starts hes trying to hard when he comes on. A start in a home game where the opposition will likely give us lots of space could be just what he needs imo.
I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head there. There's a fantastic player in there and we need to be patient with him.
