If you need somewhere to stay my brother lives very close to the ground. He should be able to recommend somewhere.
Probably not going to stay to be honest, only an hour or so on the train so will probably get last one back at 1. Waterloo not exactly far either is it. You can ask for decent drinking spots though if you like Not gonna wear colours to open more possibilities for that too
So I took Stan Jr to play tennis this morning. He needs to work on his serve to keep his place in his club team. I haven't played tennis for 20 years. After 20 minutes of serving practice we decide to play a set. First point and I managed to trip over my own clown feet chasing a drop shot. As we were playing on astroturf I now have a very burnt elbow. Didn't hurt at the time but it's very sore now and is freaking weeping! Stupid, middle aged old twat. I won 6-1. #stillgotit
I played a lot of tournament tennis as a youngster, and my left knee is now royally ****ed as a result. A combination of hard courts and ****e 80's footwear Being a dwarf I was always up against it though
I was a decent club tennis player as a kid. The issue I had was my pal was a brilliant tennis player. I could have trained all day every day while he ate pizza and played Tetris and he still would have been first pick. ****ed it off in the end!
I played from the age of 8 and had my own coach by 11. I was playing in the men's tournaments by 15 and made it to a decent county standard by 16. I jibbed it at a truly competitive level at 18 due to a combination of circumstances and my discovery of alcohol and women. Still love the game though, but I can't play due to my knee
I never played at that level. It was never my sport. I was football obsessed although I can't claim to have been a great footballer either! I did play in the FA Cup once. Only the once mind so you don't have to have a 130 IQ to work out how we got on.
Football was always my passion but I was never that good either, and Sunday league was my level. Dropped that in my mid 20's as the only thing I had was pace and I got bored of being legged by ale house CB's. Played 5 and 6 a side after that for about a decade, mainly for the exercise and the craic
