What no m8,won't get voted for, wont get through the house, wont get through the lords, wrong about every single thing so far.
This thread lost credit the second Muslims were mentioned. A lot of Muslims voted leave, because brexit will most likely mean a higher level of Muslim immigration to England. Oh and Turkey won't join the EU.
May be the case in some circumstances Chippy, but a lot of them came through the EU to get into Britain, maybe I was better off saying they'll go back to wherever their passports allow'em, but I think they'll certainly want to get out of Britain post haste with their under age wives.
May have lost credit to you LR, but not to some. Once leaving the EU means we get to control our own borders instead of bowing to the control of the UN and EU, it will be ours to control again, how the Government do it remains to be seen. From what I recall, one of the many reasons for leaving the EU was so we could take our border control back.
Only 25% of immigration into the uk over the last 10 years came from or via the EU. In other news it's a moot point because whoever we want to trade with will insist on free movement as part of the deal. If I thought for one second that other countries and the EU would let us cherry pick what we want to do I wouldn't be so convinced that we are going to get royally fecked. It's a huge gamble and the risks are all borne by the working man (the rich will be fine, they always are). Currently we have very low unemployment and the 6th highest standard of living in the world. Old saying--- If it aint broke don't fix it. Only time will tell who is right, but I don't believe we will benefit from leaving and it certainly wasn't worth the risk given what we might lose.
And other countries will have their freedom of movement, they can have their cargo by, plane, train, truck or ship......
You will be wishing I had been right soon enough. But sadly there are enough idiots that believed the NHS was going to get all the billions that were intimated and when coupled with the racists and those that couldn't understand what the stakes were a very narrow majority to leave was the result. The consequences of the decision will start to be seen as soon as the Germans have their election. Expect no serious negotiations to happen till then.
Yes and it's that control which will mean more Muslims into the UK. We have capped our non eu immigration (skilled workers) due to a steady flow of your Europeans (often unskilled). Now because we don't need to take any more Europeans we will allow more from Pakistan etc, Not that I have any problems with that either way. You do realise that we will still have immigration even if we have more control over our borders, right? Anyway, without getting to involved in the politics I was very much on the fence with the brexit vote and even though I voted remain I am confident there will be benefits in leaving (not sure they will out weigh the personal benefits of us staying). Let's see what happens though, hopefully it will make England a better place.
http://www.electoralcommission.org....u-referendum/electorate-and-count-information the results i have put here because there are about 14 million who did not vote.shame on them only 72% turnout .does anyone know how to adjust the percentages to reflect those who voted out of total population.
72% turnout is pretty good. You need to remember some people are comfortable admitting they don't understand the ins/outs so would rather not vote. I prefer that to idiots that either 1. I hate Muslims / charity starts at home who voted out 2. Left wing morons who branded remain as the "I'm not a racist" option.
