    So excited! Been waiting all summer for this. Hopefully be a decent game today and our new team can show us what they are all about when it counts.

    Hope this is a good season because its crucial if we want to progress...arguably more important then last season in regards to building a reputation (to attract the kind of players we want etc) and becoming a steady prem team again.

    I was there AB......went for a slash coming out of Wembley and got separated from my mates.

    Didn't have a clue where to go for the train and missed it, ended up cadging a lift on the Royal Mail train, got back into Newcastle in the early hours of the morning and had to walk back to Ponteland.

    Other than the experience of going to Wembley I've had better times following the lads.

    The game was easily forgetable. Had quite a journey down on the train, dozens of people in the compartment sleeping on top of each other. Can't remember too much about the journey back to Newcastle.

    As you say, we've had better times. Just not at Wembley though.

    Oops, just remembered. I didn't get home that night, ended up in a pub in Bayswater and stayed the night in London.
