He's put £80m of his own cash in. Kenwright has never put a penny in.

He's got a funding model for our new stadium agreed. Kenwright never managed that for any of the failed ground moves

H&G somehow contrived to spend £50m on a ground move that never saw a spade enter the ground.

    So £123 a game?

A season ticket in that stand is £1000.

I suspect he's over egged the pudding again, shocked tbf.

Given the cost of beer and food plus the reputed 77 pound tickets... and half those new seats are premium with meals and crap... yeah..... its reported that the stand is worth 25mil or so in revenue. Which is not profit, just top line.

This is why i said when i heard 50k only for everton bowl... thatd be just current capacity plus premium boxes. Need proper 60k

Oh right, turnover is vanity etc etc.

Current capacity at Goodison is just under 50k, there won't be 10k in corporate boxes mate lol.

Meis has said it's not a bowl btw.

    A) When was last time you got anywhere near 50k.. you are dreaming more like 40k capacity.

    B) you must be stoned if you think there wont be significant premium seating.

At the emirates there are 2200 corporate box seats and the club seating which is premium with free booze there are 7200.

If you dont match this you are missing out..as i said of the 8500 we added 4000 were for snobby ****s who demand this :)

Sorry typo, I obviously meant 40k

There'll be much more corporate seating but 10k? Not a chance, probably half that imo.

The £80m was nothing to do with the stadium, it was part of his takeover costs

The funding model is "someone else funds the stadium, EFC pay the interest and council fee"

I dunno but if we added 4k then it says something about fsg especially when you add in the hesitancy to fund a 70mil expansion of anfield road end without them.

Maybe 10k is too much but it is what will pay your stadium bill in the end. You should really push the boat out now when you can. Just my opinion.

Id rather 55 or 60k now then be full with current plus stuffed shirts and have a waiting list build up.

But then my opinion is current madness cant go on and any bricks and mortar that gets built out of silly money in the prem is far better than pouring it into agents and players wages

Half the seats are corporate (and it's the increase in matchday revenue, not just the cost of the seat)

For the proposed new buildings, minimum finished floor levels have been specified in the flood risk assessment supporting the Environmental Impact Assessment. Typically, levels are set to be above the 1 in 200 year level including climate change increases in sea level, as recommended by Defra.

Just make sure you go the game in your wellies and you'll be ok I reckon <laugh>

The sewage plant down the road will flood and bring a river of **** flowing through the stadium

I guess that's what Meis meant by reflecting Everton's history

    bit harsh?

The £80m was nothing to do with 'takeover costs'

It was to clear all of the current debt, part of which was a mortgage loan that was securitised on Goodison, so nothing could be done with the site until that was cleared, so it was an essential part of the ground move.

Clearing the total debt has also freed up circa £6m a year in repayment costs, which will offset a large chunk of the new stadiums annual cost.

The funding model means that Everton can borrow at council rates, circa 1.45%. They're paying the council approx. the same again, so that makes the interest total about 2.9%, which is way less than a business like a football club could borrow £300m at in the commercial sector. It's very clever, and keeps the council on board to boot. Moshiri isn't a multi billionaires head bean counter for nothing.....
