Just finished reading Conn Iggulden - Wolf of the Plains, Great trilogy based on the life of Genghis Khan. Also a huge huge fan of Bernard Cornwall, Simon Scarrow, Alex Scarrow and Robyn Young if anyone here loves a good Historical Novel then these guys are the best in the business (except Alex Scarrow who concentrates on Historical Thrillers)
Agreed, Robyn Young is class. What about Tom Harper and his trilogy based during the Byzantine period of Alexius Comenus?
Hey fellow Charlton fans, new member here. Long time reader, first time poster. I'm currently wading through Stalin: The Court of the Red Tsar by Simon Sebag Montefiore. Great book detailing the relations between the leading people during Stalins rule, chilling and tragic in many ways I'd recommend it to anyone who has any interest in history. I would warn anyone beforehand though that it is a very long, winding journey, but it is one that is well worth walking!
