United have agreed a deal with MLS side Chicago Fire for Schweinsteiger. Subject to medical he'll be off. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...hweinsteiger-move-to-chicago-fire-sky-sources What a shame. Personally, I think he could've been just as important to United (if not more) than Zlatan, in terms of the experience and quality he brings. Opportunity wasted. ----------------------- This thread is dedicated to Matth, and all who sail in him.
I think those early injuries sealed his fate. Shame it didn't work out for him. Hope he likes the cold............................the real cold, Chicago is the pits in winter.
I think it was the injuries with Bayern that really sealed his fate. The fact they were willing to dump him so unceremoniously after so many years at the club speaks volumes imo. He was always too pedestrian and didn't really seem committed to performing for us imo, possibly just saw us as a way to keep earning after Bayern dumped him. Although similar could be said about Pogba this season, so at least keeping Schweinsteiger would have achieved much the same for £89 million less.
1 year contract according to BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39336934 Such a shame he didn't work out but was too broken down for our league.
He's got me on ignore. That's why he started another match thread as well the other day. What I don't get is that I've only ever teased him with a bit of sarcasm. There are some right vindictive fckers who are quite out of order towards him he's happy to converse with.
Anyway, bit of a shame this didn't work out. I believe he's been underused but truth is he's now surplus. We've got a lot of games to play mind, this could be badly timed.
Not really when he's already surplus. That means he does not need replacing. If anything we'll replace Carrick, as has been said in some other name thread or other.
