Gutted for Seamus, he's a great player and a cracking bloke, it's a potential career ender this, I hope he comes back from it and the break is clean. He doesn't deserve this.

It's both bones - that isn't good. Not far off being like Gary Buust's compound fracture, if you remember that (though that was a complete accident). That said, they can do an awful lot now; the bone(s) themselves shouldn't be the problem - it's the tissue surrounding it. Although, I remember Ciise doing worse (that was an accident too),and he came back just as fast (though still no skill to speak of). Here's hoping.

 

It's been announced by Joe now that the new stadium is crucial to our CG bid so looks like a track may be going in.

Thats ok as long as from the beginning it is understood that it will become a football stadium it is when you make an athletics stadium with no thought that it then becomes very difficult , never mind expensive, to convert into a good football stadium - at least what we Brits are used to here.

 

I've no idea mate, only posting what I've read - A council spokesman said the new ground would be the city's Commonwealth Games stadium ... that sounds like it may mean a track.

 

I agree. It should be a football stadium. Comments in the press today are making it look like Olympic Stadium Mark II which would be a real shame for Everton. For the city as a whole having a top class 'sports' stadium i.e. with a track would be good but if that's the price Everton have to pay for it, I'd be thinking twice. I just can't see it being a 'key part' [Joe's words] of the CG bid without a track.

Just like to add get well soon Coleman. Great player, decent quiet lad - hope he comes back stronger.
