personally i like that the pool board is pretty relaxed and generally has a good range of banter/off topics and footie discussion. if i wanted pure wummery i stick to the pl board or if just pro pool news then rawk

I would guess 50-55k. Make it so that some extension can be made.

 

They're saying 50k, but personally I think they should go for 55k.

We're filling our just shy of 40k capacity now, and that's with 4,000 of the current seats being obstructed views. We've now also got a season ticket waiting list for the first time in living memory. I think a new facility on the dock, with a slightly larger away capacity could easily fill 50k.

 

Imo you have one go at it so build it as big as is affordable so i you can do 60k do it.

Expansion be damned.

The most cost effective way is build it day 1

 

They can build it so it can be added to at a later date,similar to the toilet with the corners.

Get what you are saying with costs etc likely to go up in the future, but this way they can do it in stages and not have to deal with the cost in one hit.

Why should we ban him on his own board whether we agree with him or not? If you had the equivalent on your board I'd not spend my time going over to respond to every post...tbf the equivalent would bring you guys up to what...4 posters?

 

The Echo Arena already does that. It's hosting the 2017 British gymnastics next week, for example, and top class concerts all the time - Bruno Mars coming up, Bob Dylan and Iron Maiden. Will the new stadium be competing as a venue for these sorts of things, can't see it. If it's built as a sports arena with a track then yes, lots more possibilities.

 

no real point in having a track imo as there is no desire to watch athletics apart from major games. When they had the Olympics everyone who knew anything about it said the Olympic stadium should be designed to be turned into a football stadium easily & cheaply then use the fee from the football club ,say £20m net ,to do up Crystal Palace or the like as a solely athletics venue.

 

if you don't like what Astro posts on the LFC board i suggest you try frequenting the Everton board instead.

So your plan to catch up to us and make us #choke is to build a cheap athletics stadium with dodgy steel that's already smaller than Anfield currently is and pay for it with high-interest loans
