I don't think they're rationed Hessle... and besides, this was dealing with a new fact. The Ashbee's gone thread was based on speculation, Kilham did start this in response to breaking news confirming a deal.
Yeah but all hes done is confirm that its on the OWS. Surely that could have been put in the other thread. Just seems daft to me. Like having all the "new signing" threads when 1 would do.

Is not City giving him a massive contract when he didnt know if he would ever kick a football again not recognition enougth?
I think many of ther fans are split on Ashbee anyhow, Not that I am. I consider Ashbee to be our greatest ever captain.
The idea of a testimonial was all very nice but a but dated in this day and age. Look at the rubbish gate for Deano's testimonial for example.
I dont think Ash has done himself many favours since he came back from injury well over weight. He tagged himself in the Bullard camp and all the trouble that attracted, not good when your are the club captain with a new manager and an influx of younger players.Shame it had to end like this.
I just hope Ash and the club show some dignity to each other and this doesnt turn into a slanging match. Ashbee deserves to leave with his head held high.
