That's still implying they are making predictions, which is the same point. Voting because you didn't know what the EU would look like is totally illogical. I accept that people didn't vote to leave the EU on a logical basis though.
It will be interesting to see how the French and German General Elections pan out and there's also the small matter of the basket case called Greece! Mass unemployment in Southern Europe including frightening levels of Youth unemployment. Yes the EU is in a rude state of health! Why would we ever want to be shackled to a corpse when we have the rest of the world that we can do business with? Our cultural ties to the USA and Commonwealth countries stands us in very good stead and it is where the real economic growth is happening.
'They' may be making a prediction but those predictions are not my predictions so to claim I'm making a prediction because I have predicted what their predictions could have been is a tad misleading. Voting because you don't like the way the EU is currently and if you think change is not on the agenda (even though a large number or remainoholics admit it needs reform) then I believe a leave vote is the only logical path.
Remoaner and chief Richard Branson! http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...hard-brexit/ar-BByDBOd?li=BBoPWjQ&ocid=HPCDHP Project Fear....
You do not believe change is on the agenda? I thought you weren't making predictions? In any event, even if change weren't on the agenda (which is a ridiculous notion) voting leave would not be the logical path if a leave vote leaves us in a worse position in virtually every single way, which it does (other than tenuous concepts of "freedom" and "self-determination" which are flawed in a globalised world, but I appreciate some people find them emotionally meaningful).
I thought David Cameron went cap in hand to discuss change prior to Brexit Vote and came away with nothing thus showing change not on agenda at that time (although I feel some change is now on the agenda for the EU). Both sides of the vote was run by politicians so we're both bound to have some bullshit involved ....politicians these days are self serving money/fame grabbing so and so's both in the UK and the EU.
Rob, I fear your time away has failed to curb your confrontational aggression, sounds very much like sour grapes to me!
No we haven't been in recession, in fact no where near, even those that predicted recession generally accept that the economy post Brexit has been better than expected. What is the definition of a recession? Period of general economic decline, defined usually as a contraction in the GDP for six months (two consecutive quarters) or longer. Marked by high unemployment, stagnant wages, and fall in retail sales, a recession generally does not last longer than one year and is much milder than a depression. What is the cause of recession? More specifically, recession is defined as when businesses cease to expand, the GDP diminishes for two consecutive quarters, the rate of unemployment rises and housing prices decline. Many factors contribute to an economy's fall into a recession, but the major cause is inflation. Not sure how government borrowing avoids a recession and certainly the amount of foreign investment continuing to flow into the UK economy post Brexit suggests that many businesses still see the UK as having an expending economy. I would have thought Rob that having been wrong about the initial impact of the Brexit vote you might have come back and accepted you where wrong. Unfortunately you do not appear to be the person I thought you was. Don't bother replying further as I don't intend to respond to any comments you may make.
Deutsche Bank commits to new London office Deutsche Bank has committed to moving to a new office in London, at a time when banks are assessing their place in the capital ahead of Brexit. Germany's biggest lender is in exclusive talks for a 25-year lease on a new building. Garth Ritchie, UK chief executive of Deutsche, told staff the move "underlines the bank's commitment to the City of London". He said staff would start moving to the new UK headquarters in 2023. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-39378521
They're reducing space overall... Downsizing. They're moving jobs abroad! Sorry mate, but this is not a good argument to run.
