Good Morning Everyone,

Everon are considering a 15m bid for Chris Wood!

Do any of us think he could do what he has done this season next season?

Is 15m too good to turn down (if the money were to be reinvested)?

We saw yesterday how many minutes our midfielders had put in so far this season :-

Vieira (1694)

Bridcutt (1682)

Phillips (1663)

O'Kane (1558)

Now, let's compare this to Lewis Cook, the previous season:-

Lewis Cook (3658)

Was Cook overused by Leeds. Was that part of our problem?

Reality check folks, Chris wood has been awesome for us and earlier in the season I said on many occasions that we should be thankful because we had a £3m player who playing like a £12m player and much applause. He is now established himself in that £12 to £15m bracket, so brilliant. BUT Everton will be selling Lukaku, for around £40m yes I would do a swap but Wood bless him isnt going to replace Lukaku.

Cook was deffo overused last season as has Taylor up until his injury. Taylor hadn't missed a start or minute of a game for months and months. Our kids who have potential should reflect upon Byram & Cook what do they want, money or a playing career. Howson went to a smaller club than Leeds but which had more potential at the time, so got lots of game time. Howson is still playing well and on his day bosses Norwich in the prem or Championship. Our kids especially Taylor needs to stay

Just on the Taylor situation have a think about the running of the academy under Bates up to today. We have sold our best and brightest very quickly to make the books look like we made a profit. Delph, Howson then more dicking around at the start of Cellinos tenure saw Byram go followed by Cook but much slower in offloading, in fact refusing to sell as in the case of taylor. Do you think Byram/Cook jumped too soon for cash or didnt believe the rot was stopped? would the have wanted to leave under Monks regime? and where would we be if they were still here.

I would tell Wood we want him for the prem and if not through this seasons play offs give us one more season for a pay rise, and if we don't do it then we will let him go.Hogan cost Villa £12 million and I think has scored 1 goal for them.

Spot on Paul. How much would it cost to replace Wood if we sold him? Would a £15m striker come down to the Championship in the hope of helping us get into the PL next season? Unlikely. We need to hold on to Wood if we can

Afternoon all - I can't see Wood making an impact at Everton but I guess for them with PL money it is pocket money and a gamble worth taking. We shouldn't sell even if we remain in this division but refusing to listen to offers and a player expressing that they wish to better themselves with more money is a different matter.

The other problem is we refuse and say he is worth more than that and the player and his agent turn around and say well we want to be paid what a £15m player is worth, we can't win if the rumours are true.

Fingers crossed we get promoted then if Everton want him they will have to add another £10m to that considered offer and even then Wood might decide he likes it at Leeds

always a problem for Championship clubs when doing well, Prem money gap is just way too huge ... if a Prem club comes calling and offers Wood £50k a week (Vardy is on £130k) then we have NO CHANCE of keeping him unless we go up

Leeds have to get promotion this season to have any chance of keeping Wood and Taylor, getting Bartley signed up and also bringing back Sacko and Pedraza ... we will have a very different looking team next season if we stay in Champs, and will be starting all over without our goalscorer

of course, we could lose Monk and his team as well, clubs will come calling for sure
