I agree that the government will use this to increase their security budget and restrict the movement and freedom of every day law abiding citizens but.
The slippery shower analogy that gets put out every time a Muslim kills people in Western European cities is daft.
If there is a criminal mastermind somewhere designing baths to purposely kill and maim innocent people then the sale and distribution of said baths should be stopped and the criminal mastermind arrested.
