In the line-up immediately after Sam's young solo pic, there was Chambers at the right and back, next to the coach. Harry Reed was front and centre. The others I don't quite recognise. Edit: Think Shaw is next to Sam, and Prowsey might be left of the keeper, looking on.
England are playing in their new Away kit, Midnight Blue. Nike kits are terrible. They just change the colours, each International team looks the same.
Can't see anything but an England win tonight. Call me crazy, but this seems like a repeat of what happens every term. Fail miserably at a tournament, get hammered by the press, arrange a friendly game against a quality side & win. Raise expectations.......then repeat.........
Germany tend to go into rest mode during years when there are no real requirements to win. They even let the sports media go into meltdown and aren't really that bothered. Every even numbered year they get their act together. So yeah, there's a good possibility England will win. But I would read very little into it. Even if the scoreline says 1-5. It would be very entertaining though.
From the BBC Football website: A few weeks later and he's still trying to trip up Redmond. Missed again.!
Southgate is playing a 3-4-2-1 tonight. Team... England: Hart; Smalling, Cahill, Keane; Walker, Dier, Livermore, Bertrand; Alli, Lallana; Vardy
I've said for a while now id like to see us try 3 across the back with WB's either side. We have the players to do it with Rose and Walker playing it every week at spurs, and Bertrand I'm sure has the versatility to fit right in. Cahill too will be used to how it works from this season at Chelsea. I think Alli and lallana are also suited to it. My only worry is the you need quite a strong centre of midfield, especially defensively, which we don't really have. Will be refreshing to see something different for sure.
Like the look of that team. Interested to see how fares against a very good German team. Big effort from Bertrand and Walker required. Also need it from Dier and Livermore in particular. Good Keane has been given a chance.
England "supporters" singing about the war again, morons. Sometimes i'm glad that the Ruskies gave them a kicking.
So Croatia have Modrić and Rakitić, while England have Dier and Livermoore. What went wrong for you guys?
