True - but it makes Thomas Tuchel a lot more realistic <ok>

<laugh> Knowing our current board, we'd more likely get Thomas the Tank Engine <yikes>

They are woeful in the Champions League again, they are plummeting down the league. Don't think they will qualify this year. The latter stages of the FA cup they had Lincoln and Sutton, and Preston first off. The only tough tie was Southampton. I'm pretty certain they will go out against Man City.

If they are protesting for him to leave at the end of his contract, I can see them really kicking off now, even at the board for offering him an extension.

I personally don't have a massive problem with him. I have family who are Arsenal fans who have just had enough, and want him to leave. I can understand their fans point. I also think he deserves a bit more respect than this.

The FA Cup wins is something that should have shut some fans up who banged on about no trophy is such and such years, but it hasn't. Only thing he has to stand on, is continuously getting them Champions League football. If he ends the season with no trophy, and finishing outside the top 4, it's further proof to them, that he is steering them into further decline. Then it's going to get proper entertaining.

Really though? Firstly I hate other clubs fans prescribing how others proper fans should feel. But come on, Wenger will not win them the biggies that they crave. Yes to us minnows his successes would be magnificent. But surely this is like RBF suggesting he'd be happy to just remain in the championship doing OK but not making that leap to the PL. Wenger has proved wanting where the League and the Europe are concerned, Arsenal will not win them under him. Will they with someone else? Probably not, but for the first time in years they look like failing to reach the top 4 and Europe. Couple that with their humbling 10-2 on aggregate whilst exiting the CL. Surely its time for him to go. There is only so long you can maintain hope for those titles in the face of failure. And as with us and Neil, it is the loss of hope that will ultimately do for you.

    Bah!

I was at the anti Wenger game at the Emirates last season when they played Norwich.
A handful of people holding up little signs got told to "Fackin sit Dan ya mugs" & most of the stadium chanted Wenger's name.
Yes Arsenal are woeful every single season in the Champions league because they got thumped by Bayern Munich again.
They got to the same stage as Chelsea and Man city who have much better and more expensive players.
I could still see Arsenal winning yet another FA cup and finishing top 4 .

You may hate that I think I can speak for Arsenal fans but I have been living within a half mile radius for the best part of this millennium and have loads of mates that have season tickets there as well as my kids and their friends all having an interest with Arsenal.
Yes someone sitting in Asia or Swaffham may go off them because they are not providing the glory that they attached themselves to but the people that I know will not be giving up their season tickets anytime soon.
Obviously they are pissed off that they haven't won a season lately going undefeated but since Chelsea and Man bought the title they will struggle to keep up IMHO

    Just seen this.
Apart from the fact that it happens to be about Evans and the Binners,
it does bring to mind the phrase "careful what you wish for".
She's not such a bad lass, our Delia, is she?

My objection was you suggesting your point of view was what proper gooners should be thinking. I had enough of that sort of sentiment from those bloody Geordies with Hughton! You may have more of an insight than your average outsider from another club, but you know but a very small proportion of 60000 gooners. And most being happy to keep him may be right, it may also be wrong. A number will just blindly opt for the status quo. Afterall since when has giving up their tickets or reason ever gone hand in hand with football? Like Norwich, Arsenal can be complacent, they sell out each week, so if they lose a STH another will plug the gap. The fans know that the club is very wealthy and whilst it hasn't the clout to keep up with the Citeh and Chelski, it has missed chances that its stability should have afforded it. Last season being the case in point, disarray at the big spenders, yet the Arse still choked.
As you say they are pissed off, some to the point of action, but would any of your circle of gooner friends be truely upset or averse to a change? The cautious will always preach, better the devil you know or it will likely get worse, but Wenger has singularly failed to address the soft underbelly of the team ever since GG defense was pensioned off. He has had time, no small ammount of money, he has failed to win either of their primary goals. Time for the heave ho.

    Bah!

Sounds plausible (apart from the bit about having loads of mates! <laugh>)

They are a club that try to live withing their means, at least more so than the two you mention, albeit all in a different stratosphere to us. <ok>

So, even the EDP is beginning to realise what a talent @Glenn_M22 is - "Darren Huckerby’s academy protégée scored two thumping shots from the edge of the area and one from out wide after beating his full-back on the left – goals which City fans who watch U23s games have seen him produce before this season.
Middleton smashed home a powerful shot just two minutes after coming on to help the young Canaries come from behind to beat Aston Villa 4-3 in the Premier League International Cup in January.
Then in the same competition, also at Carrow Road, last month, he scored within three minutes of coming on at half-time of a 6-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb– surging down the left, leaving his marker for dust and lashing a low shot in off the far post.
His explosive ability has already created a sense of getting fans on the edge of their seats at U23s games, scoring four goals in 20 games, with a stocky build and aggressive streak that help him to compete with older players.
Middleton, a City player since he was 12, used his @Glenn_M22 Twitter account to say: “Awesome 1-0 win for the boys today!! Buzzing to get the goal as well, there’s no better feeling than scoring! Bring on Switzerland.”

You can watch the Scotland U17's replays on youtube if anyone is interested. I didn't have the patience to watch all, so just looked for the highlights.

    vs Montenegro:

Middleton goals at 118:50 and 133:xx

Saddest thing is though, that when those clubs had a tentative sniff around in January, JM didn't have 10 goals, 6 ( I think?) assists and a call up to the under 21s.
They could well be a bit more "interested" this summer. <yikes>

That'll give some posters something else to panic about. Seem to remember everyone was of the view that on the back of a couple of decent games that the club would f**k up and he would be whisked away to a 'big club' for next to nothing and what happened !!!!!! Yeah 10 championship goals and an u21 call up that he only got cause some guy from Huddersfield who was first choice dropped out. God forbid he actually gets to play and scores, The Samaritans will have to open up an extra line for the summer to deal with the collective panic of some on this forum.
