Not really seen too much of him, do people think he could step up?

Would be an unusual signing. Isn't particularly young anymore, and isn't all that prolific at the Championship level...he'd cost a decent amount and I cannot see him being more than cover.

It really is time we signed our very own referee. It is the position on the pitch where we have no one and all of the other teams have had someone in this position all season.

Does Messi solely rely on pace? I don't think so personally!

And my point wasn't that Shane Long is now past it. If you read what I said, you'd realise I said at 30 years old it may be time to cash in on him. That doesn't mean he is past it. It means he is approaching an age where he will soon lose his pace and, as he heavily relies on his pace, will no longer have much value. Therefore it may be sensible to make get some money whilst we still can.

I really liked his quality of touch when at Bradford. I've not seen him much this season but if we are interested, we probably don't want Huddersfield to go up.

Yeah I've seen little bits of him and liked what I've seen but not seen enough to have proper opinion.

And yeah the move wouldn't make sense to him if they come up.

I liked Wells at Bradford, as well, but that's four years ago now. He'll be 27 in the summer, and is still maddeningly inconsistent...Huddersfield's fans were very unhappy with him for the first half of the season, because when not producing goals he wasn't providing anything else, including energy.

They got a bit of a trouncing against Bristol City at the weekend.
Suspect Tammy Abrahams will be available on loan to a premier league team next season.

Thought Nahki looked great at Bradford, but that was part of a big man little man partnership

I'm not giving up on Shane and Jay yet, they both have proven quality but haven't had a run in in the team for a while. I can understand if either want to move on to get first team football, but I still think they are good enough to be here.

Don't joke - just looked on FB and there's people there going on a 'Puel out' thing - "same story all season". Apparently.

This from the Manager of Southampton Football Club:

“It was a long time and Shane was ready to come and to play and it was not possible. I don’t know why."

So what did you see or hear?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought Long shook hands with Gabby as he left the pitch, so that would indicate that he was ready.
Perhaps it was the 4th official who wasn't ready, with his number board, which prevented the immediate change?
We know next time, this kind of thing happens, to be slower at removing the injured player from the playing surface, to ensure we don't have to defend with just 9 outfield players.
The penalty was soft, with Alli definitely looking to make contact with Davis, but knowing that we were a man light at the time, makes the whole thing feel worse.

On a separate note, is there any footballer in the world with a face you would more like to punch, than Alli?
