Pick 100 referees, show them this game (from the ref's point of view even) and not one of them will reproduce the pattern of bookings Oliver has come up with

Not by me. We weren't going to go up other end and score in that last 30 seconds with the ball in our box. Just hold it, get it up in their end of pitch and get in for HT. don't roll it out lose it and give away free kick out wide

Good contest, heart in mouth on the odd occasion but we were getting better as the half went on.

What has happened to Coutinho? Since he came back even his ball control is way off. Not slagging him but this is where the squad depth comes into play.If there is competition in his position you'd see him step up more

It won't get mentioned but Can has had a good half (defensively). Still need him to do more on the ball but he has won the ball back a number of times.

Nah not for me. Toure on Wijnaldum looked a pen to me.

Yup...always get the benefit of the doubt in that situation even if clear penalties lol...we too often step back in our box in fear of that type of stuff.

Think he's been superb, aggressive and determined and decent on the ball.

Think both were pens tbh. Ref's having a mare, luckily for him HT came as he was losing the plot.

Sterling doesn't kick Milner, Milner knocks Sterling's for wide of the ball

I suspect we will have a man sent off in this game, whilst City will foul like hell and not have any cards.

Ref is a homer and a bottler. We should have had two penalties and City one in that half. Yaya should be off as well.

Yeah, I really don't know how they can say he made no attempt to get that - he clearly did. Probably was a pen though, and I I'm begging to have second thoughts re the Mane one. Both look pens to me. No word at all though on Toure's lunge Sky #bentasfuck too, in my book.

I still believe we should exploit Toure's yellow card. This requires Lallana to focus on him and Can to avoid a yellow. City are focusing to much on their win play a and this gives us an opportunity to play more through the middle. There is an error in Stones and Otamendi but we have one of those too in our ranks
