This is what I am saying, the EL has never been strong but now it's worth something.

 

TBF they are very likely to get CL through their league position so ditched it

 

Meant more prestige and attracting up and coming young European players...not that you lot care about that but fairly sure winning the EL once every 3 years or so would call the attention of those players more than the league cup....

He was defending Mourinho apparently...think he whinges about how the games are concertinaed..and then 2 weeks of nothing etc..

Although personally I've never been a believer that athletes can't cope with a 3 day week...but then I'm not an athlete.

 

Not sure about that, I have never read a quote from a player saying he wanted to move to play EL football.
It's all bullshit anyway, players don't move to play CL unless they are going to BM, RM or Barca, they are the only teams that more or less guarantee it and I can't see a player moving to a club on the strength of them qualifying once in 5 or 6 years.
It just sounds better than saying "I want a bigger club and better wages"

People are laughing at teams that have been beaten by Monaco, they ignore the fact they have scored 126 goals so far this season. The same people look down on PSG because they play in the French league, well it doesn't mean they are a poor team, if so they should laugh at Barca, Real and Batern too because they make their leagues look weak.

Bit like claiming Celtic are a quality side because they score **** loads of goals. Well they score **** loads because they face **** teams most weeks but they're not a top European side are they?

Monaco I think are a very good side. Just don't agree with using their goal scoring exploits as justification considering the majority of their opponents.

That is some difference in the for column. Never judge a team on the opposition, watch them play and make a judgement on that.
