    no sorry but.....

    lets be frank

you were in it last year too. you got done over by us handy and then we did for dortmund who are in CL QF with high probability of semi final to come.

Sevilla are currently 3rd in la liga. villareal were top 4 in spain last year and currentyl lie 5th. we had to do for them and all.

This far the "Mighty" utd have had fenerbache, feyenord, zorya (who?) which you somehow managed only to get 2nd in said group and a bunch of ASSE in last 32... and you then had to play the amazing rostov... before getting semi pro anderlecht in QF.

this far utd have not even had a game of anyone... not cos utd are good but because the opposition have been woeful.

The realsitic only challenge IMO to utd in this comp is shalke and they are no great shakes... ajax? please semi pro.

The truth is like it or no LFC played past utd, dortmund, villareal and fell only to sevilla who won last 3 europa leagues and sit 3rd in la liga (primairlally losing cos half lfc squad thought the game was over at half time) while utd have had an absolutel breeze that thier reserves should win let aloe thier firsts

I think you will find there are quite a few on here who have said it's a weak/poor competition this year if you look through the thread :emoticon-0100-smile

Sevilla - they won the EL a few times in recent years.

    Dortmund who are quality

Villarreal are a tidy outfit as well.

    Oh and United.

But ok Diego - EL is just as strong this year lolllll

If Manchester United do win the El, I hope they finish 4th with City 5th, and Everton 6th. To see Arsenal in the qualifying rounds of the EL would be funny. Might be the best medicine for Arsenal as well if Wenger were to depart and a new manager (Zidane if Real slip up in La Liga and go out of the CL, but more likely a Benitez type figure as I am sure it is a red herring that Allegri is interested in the post), was at the helm to begin their rebuilding process.

    Now:

    Relegation battle:

Bournemouth have gotten to 33 points and now surely are all but safe 9 points clear of hull.

Funnily Leicester are now on 30 points a full 6 clear of hull and only 3 off southampton that mighty side in 10th.

As of now it is starting to look like a 4 hore race at the bottom and swansea have been pulled back into it

For me boro and sunderland are total goners now. They have a lot to do at the very least so a fight between the new managers at Hull and Swansea looks to be breaking out.

Really anything could yet occur there.

Its no byond the bounds of possibility.

I am not sure of the qualifications there as a result:

    a) EL is supposed to be separate spot all its own. So if utd got 4th and europa (they are so sure of winning europa IMO the bookies should pay out now) what would occur?

    b) IMO arsenal look at high risk at this point of doing just what you have said. (take our 7th place lol) something needs to change to stop that.

    c) Where would you put LFC in that then. 2nd? like astro...

There is a reason Sevilla won it 3 times on the trot, they were in it 3 times,
Dortmund, a team that play in a 2 team league and currently sit 3rd behind BM and the world famous PR Leipzig.
Villarreal can be decent at times.

Lets be honest here, any team in the top 8 in the PL should be capable of winning the EL with the quality they usually come up against, the fact it doesn't happen often is a sign of how much they have valued it before it gave a CL place.

Do you not think it's strange that the year you got to the final it was very strong but you only managed 8th in the league?

yeah cos they had no seeding in CL and went back into it and promptly won it... of course they are so great you know it was easy for them.

Dortmund 2 team league... yeah sure... thats why shalke are no threat to you of course.

BTW this si the same dortmund sitting pretty with best possible draw in CL quarters you are bad mouthing... and 3rd.. hmmm better than 7th?

Of course 5th in la liga is nowhere..... just ast 7th in england is awful :)

And yours have been looking knackered since December despite dropping as many competitions as you possibly could.
    Which manager knackers players?

Not really, less travelling and no league games in them weeks plus no mini league stage and the fact it's a domestic cup which is always nice.
I suspect English teams will suddenly start doing better in the EL now the prize is CL.
