I can't recall the rift. What happened? Was it something that cannot be sorted? It is a shame that when our defence is so unreliable one of our best CBs is on loan.

 

With the way WHU are playing, I can see Howe going there in the summer, Unless WHU go into a complete nosedive, Bilic will see out the season. This would be the level for Howe to see if he can shape a team to challenge in the upper end of the PL table rather than one lurking in the lower half all too persistently.

 

What about Ajax? Celta who have your ex, who seems to be playing well. Schalke are not to be underestimated. And Besiktas might surprise us all. I do think it is very open this year without the serial winners being present this year.

I don't think that anyone said it was ****. The cup is open as the previous serial winners Sevilla are not in. My own feeling is that the toughest test for your lot will be the semis. If you negotiate that, you have more big players to play the final.
