You don't have to win those headers, though. Koscielny did enough to put Rondon off his. Either do that or block the runs off with decent organisation.
This is getting ridiculous now. You are 5 points from the top 4....... Could the unthinkable happen? Surely he has to go, if not now then at the end of the season? They cannot let him stay on.....he is done! It's as clear as day.
I want to hear what spin Wenger puts on this defeat. Will he say the better team won? Or will he blame WBA for crossing the ball into the box and scoring...
I see what's going on here, we're letting Everton overtake us so we don't have to play in the Europa next season. Master tactics by Wenger
The players (sanchez aside) were truely piss poor all over the pitch. Our players and fans showed more respect to Gross, Santini, Bloke in a coat, Ramos, AVB and Sherwood that Arsesenal players and some arsenal fans are showing Wenger...weird.
To be honest I am a little surprised by it. We usually bounce back from big losses and when the pressure is off. Are we starting to feel the pressure of getting top 4 or do the players not give a sh1t anymore...
This is the worst we've ever looked under Wenger, dont think the miracle run to rescue 4th is coming this time
Is the result from this match thread even worth bloody commenting on!!! WE ALL KNOW WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE!!
The players are a disgrace. 77% possession 2 attempts on target Zero attempts on target after the 35th min Piss poor defending Terrible passing Only Cech and Sanchez can hold their heads up imo
We've really turned to ****. I feel sorry for Wenger because he will get the brunt of criticism, but the players need a ****ing slap after this performance.
Wenger gave some crap about the win over non league Lincoln would give the team confidence. He just ain't got a clue anymore and bringing on Iwobi for Sanchez just about sums it up. We all know Iwobi has been poor for some time. Perez has obviously upset Wenger big time as he won't play him at all now and when he has played there are always signs he could score freely if only given a run in the side. The guy needs to get the hell out of Arsenal and play for a decent manager. Problem is if we don't make top 4 then world class players will not be too keen on coming in with no CL.
We've backed ourselves in a corner for not replacing Wenger at the right time. Now it looks like we'll drop out of the top 4 as the players can't stomach a fight. Wenger should have left when we still had CL, now if he decides to leave, the new manager won't have CL and be left with a spineless bunch of players. The players don't realise that they won't get a better manager than Wenger. He treats them well even after crap performances. The new manager hopefully won't tolerate sub standard, gutless performances. The fools.
I don't really know what else to say that hasn't already been said multiple times before. I'm not surprised by the result. I don't think anyone is. He has clearly lost the dressing room. People always talk about how we always seem to get top 4 no matter what, but the team looks shot of confidence and completely void of any ideas. I can't remember the last time we've consistently performed with so little desire. I think this is one of those situations where things have to get worse before they get better. Which is a shame, but this is what happens when you leave someone in a position of power for too long and don't address the issue a lot earlier on. Make no mistake - Wenger isn't the only problem here and it would be naive to blame all our problems on him and him alone. But he is still part of the problem. At this stage, any change to the management structure will be one that is desperately needed. As far as his career as Arsenal manager goes, this is surely his last few months in charge. The one ray of sunshine is that we have a very promising future ahead of us. Irrespective of how this season ends, we are an attractive proposition for any manager. Regular top 4 team, big brand, large fanbase, plenty of money, no major debt concerns, outstanding facilities and we will have a better vision for the future. It may not happen straight away. It may take a few years. But one day, we will emerge as a competitive force in Europe again.
