Has a leg fell off Native River? Or is it the form of the yard putting punters off? This time yesterday the markets were devoid of confidence in the Mullins string, and we all know how that turned out. Will the 5/1 last - or will it continue to drift, im which case all confidence will surely be eroded.

How many Welsh National winners would you back on good ground in a Gold Cup?

<laugh> Fair enough. It was always going to be good ground today though, including 24 hours ago when he was generally 7/2.

Think it's the strength of the Irish challenge that has made him drift further. I still think he should be 8s or so today given conditions.

Synchronised won on officially good ground Nass. Also Denman thrashed Kauto on good-soft. My view is that Native River handles cut very well but does not need it. He won the Hennessy on good-soft and finished 2nd in the 4 miler last year on good-soft. He is becoming a very nice price now.

Well the final day approaches and I have to say that even without the top superstars it's been a decent festival. Some very close run things, upsets and a few good stories... So for the last time this week...

Defi de Seuil & Death Duty win double
    Wait For Me
    Augusta Kate
Sizing John, though I do have a ap on Djackadam, and I'm still not sure who will win it...?!?!?
    Wonderful Charm
    Battleford & Tagliatelle
    The Game Changer

Good luck to all who are playing, it's been emotional...<cheers>

Sprinter Sacre was the emotional story last year, hopefully Cue Card will get his day in the sun today and win the GC and cement his place in history and then gallop off into the sunset after winning again at Aintree!

I'm lost, what's happening with that Vosnee Romance thought it was a non runner?

    Todays Scoop 6/Ew Lucky 63:

    1:30 - Master Blueyes 13/2
2:10 - Mick Jazz 13/2 (Now a non runner so will be on fav for scoop 6)
    2:50 - Death Duty 2/1
    3:30 - Cue Card 4/1 (Had to)
    4:50 - I Shot The Sheriff 14/1
    5:30 - Dandridge 8/1

**** knows what wins the Gold Cup, would love it to be Cue Card but i think last year might have been his chance and still not convinced he'll stay. Really like Sizing John and Outlander to run massive races so singles on them two plus combi fc/tc with Cue Card. Paddt Power specials with horses today are Defi Du Seuil (Triumph) with On The Fringe (Foxhunters) @ 7/1 and Defi Du Seuil (Triumph) with Cue Card (Gold Cup) @ 12/1.

Got free bet with Paddy's yesterday so its gone on a treble: Defi Du Seuil, Death Duty, On The Fringe

Good luck all and happy Gold Cup day

All part of Stick's masterplan, spread the rumour of an issue with the horse let the price drift, Stick lumps on, horse pisses it, he retires 9 months early result!

my each way tip of the day is WAIT FOR ME in the County Hurdle.
the way things are going it will go off favourite though! was available at 16/1 yesterday, but now into 9/1.
3rd in the Bumper here 2 years ago, 4th in this last year and now a year older with the Champion jockey riding looks to have a great profile for this race.

Mark O’Hare: Most likely winner is Aupcharlie, had a bad run last year but has improved with more to come. Patrick Mullins may be on board as well.

Interesting he fancied it a few weeks ago though and put his £25 charity bet on it, and now he's ended up riding it! Hopefully he can go and win on it then, i'll keep my mouth shut, would of been tough to win it anyway even with Patrick on it so i'll shut up and stop being a moaning douchebag

    1:30 Cheltenham - Landofhopeandglory

(Agree with Reebok, I think it was, who commented that he did not give a chit where a winner came from. Neither do I as regards horseracing, can be trained in Outer *****lia for all I care. Like this horse mainly because I think the good ground will really suit him. Will later stay with my old Cue Card, although, as Stick remarked earlier, am a little concerned that everything is not 100% at the Tizzard's yard? Then similar things were said about Willie Mullins and Co. prior to yesterday?).

Very best of luck to everyone today! Will take a rest from punting for a while after the above two wagers. Certainly down with bets so far at the Festival, thank goodness I bet in modest amounts nowadays though, otherwise I would be in the doghouse! <laugh>
