Start of New Season

Don't know if anyone feels the same way as me or that I am living up to my name of Scatty...

I have been really excited and couldn't wait for the start of the new season. I have enjoyed the summer of transfer speculation and have been really happy with the new signings.

However, now the first match is nearly upon us I have started to feel apprehensive:

- what if the new signings aren't as good as I think they are?
- what if the team does not gel?
- where are the goals going to come from?
- what if we get off to a bad start?

I even panic when I see magpies (of the feathered variety) incase it is a bad omen. I saw two together and was happy then one on its own flew in front of the car window. Does that mean we are going to lose? Then I thought - no it only counts on match day!

Anyway if all else fails I still have my lucky underwear to fall back on!!!

 

Nah yer not been scatty just your normal average SAFC supporter feel the same, although not going to the match will be wearing my lucky top tomorrow and lucky socks. Enjoy the new season and may the highs out weight the lows.

 

Today I have been carrying out some research towards my very last piece of work which I have to complete for my degree which needs to be finished by mid-October (it is a very large piece of work!). So I've tried to put tomorrow's game on the back burner..However, it is very hard at times, and I have to keep putting my books etc down to take a look what's going on...I'm sure the butterflies in my stomach will be doing overtime as the match draws nearer...

After learning that Ricco is 1st choice LB I feel totally let down & gutted.

I am a naturally pessimistic person at the best of times but this news has ripped out my heart.

 

You do know that by saying that he is going to have a blinder...

Well he always has one blinder a season MrRAW.

I will be gutted if Bardsley is dropped for Ricco though.

It would prove beyond doubt that Bruce goes against the fans wishes to spite them.

 

The only reason I can see Bardsley getting dropped is if he has an injury/fitness problem...That's my opinion anyway.

 

Totally agree, not happy if he's our first choice LB. He's not a LB, and I'm amazed that SB thinks he is.

Aye, just finished reading it, how can SB see something in him, that so many others can't. Maybe Richardson's blackmailing SB, thats about hte only reason I can think of.

 

Either that or he's just sticking 2 fingers up to us.

 

I think SB really believes he can make richardson in to a LB, he's prob doing it to win a bet with someone or he's just stubborn enough to persevere with richardson even if it kills him (or us)
