I like SIZING JOHN in the Gold Cup. Something not right at Camp Tizzard so opposing the favourites. PACHA DU POLDER is 22/1 for the Foxhunters. Beaten only three lengths when finishing fast last year with zero assistance from the Binet on board. Will get more assistance this time, just a shame the chubby one doesn't have his string straight either.
No more ****ing around, tomorrow is the day we bring home the bacon 2 10 - Court Minstrel 28/1 3 30 - Cue Card 9/2 4 10 - Aupcharlie 25/1 5 30 - Eastlake 25/1 The last festival for all 4 in all likelihood, and all 4 are going to go out with a bang Lets have it £££££
Charli Parcs North Hill Harvey Death Duty Djakadam Just looked on the fair and i have an ante post from before Christmas of Djakadam at 14/1. Think i'll be laying that off for a free bet on the race. Without Betfair trading i'd be absolutely buggered this year.
Sizing John's form has been nothing but advertised today by Sub Lieutenant. SJ has a very fair chance on Friday.
Just kidding mate, I know you think she is as much use as a chocolate fireguard (in the context of being a jockey) All races have a number 14 running Friday - what the hell is that bet called? A goliath or something? Might split it into 2 lucky 15s ..................
Stick, is 'not having your string straight' a Somerset euphemism for some sort of sexual dysfunction ? I'd have said the current Mrs. N was probably competent in the string-straightening department....
My take on tomorrow's card. It's all about good ground that I believe will allow a number of horses to rediscover their form. 1.30pm: I think Landofhopeandglory has wanted good ground all year. We know he was class on the flat and i'm sure Joseph will have him primed for today. Skybet are moneyback if you lose so why not take a punt at the prices? 12/1 1pt win. 2.10pm The week started superbly for Elliott and Kennedy and I think this win will seal the top trainers title with Mick Jazz. Again with 6 places skybet are very fair so i'll play again. 9/1 1pt each-way. 2.50pm: The Albert Bartlett is a nightmare and Death Duty may hack up but at 2/1 I want something tasty. PP are paying 4 places and on that basis I want something consistent and reliable. Wholestone has course form and stays all day. Not sure if it will win but it won't let you down. 1pt each-way. 3.30pm Despite some notable absentees this will still be a stonking race. I've fancied Native River all year but the Tizzard's have run up against a brick wall at the wrong time. As its the Gold Cup i'm allowing myself two stabs at this. The form of Sizing John is rock-solid so 8/1 1pt each-way will do for me. Also the vibes about Djakadam and my delight at Walsh / Mullins silencing their begrudgers today make me want a patriotic play at 7/2 2pts win. 4.10pm: Best jockey, JP colours and my (NAP) of the day Onthefringe 7/4 3pts win. 4.50pm: A very tricky race and to be honest i'm just gonna' stick with Elliott and back him blind with 6 places on offer from skybet Runfordave 8/1 0.5pts each-way. 5.30pm I've already backed Le Prezien antepost at 11/1 and again I think the ground has come for The Game Changer 12/1. He was fourth in the Arkle last year and needs decent ground. It's the last race all in 2pts win!! Well that's what I reckon.... good luck and enjoy the final day!!!!!!
Very tricky card tomorrow....nothing new there then! My only bet of the day: Bristol De Mai. Gold cup. Ok, 6yo don't have a very good record in this, Long Run being the last one to win as a 6yo, but I've followed this fella for some time now, and I don't have him as a 25/1 shot. Forget his last run at Newbury as NTD found him to be lame after the race and reckons something happened to him during the race. He jumped left that day, which isn't him, and was reported to be lame and "not right" for a week after the race. NTD reports him 100% now. Who can forget the demolition job dished out in the Peter Marsh at Haydock under 11-2 in heavy ground against some seasoned handicappers? I'd have liked to have seen a bit of rain for him, but he does go on any ground and was a staying on 2nd to Black Hercules in last years JLT. On official ratings he doesn't have a great deal to find, and as he's surely still improving while others have probably peaked, I think he'll go close. Good luck to all, and have a great St Patricks day!
