    Just what we really could do without, after having only played two league games in five weeks - an international break! We'll have played three league games in seven weeks by the next time we play post-break. Who needs a winter break?!

    Indeed, I see England name their squad for the upcoming friendly against Germany and qualifier against Lithuania on Thursday. Southgate is expected to name a larger than normal squad and it seems that Redmond and Ward-Prowse are deservedly in contention for the first time, I would also not be too surprised to see Harry Winks involved too.

    Four Southampton players would be an achievement even if Forster would be lucky to be included.

    Not sure Bertrand is ready for a call really.......while I agree he has improved not sure he is ready for the international stage.

    No Redmond or Prowse (as you mentioned) while Pickford is in it.

    Think Redmond may be too old but Prowse's omission does suggest a first international call up.

    I think Stephens is older than Redmond, and he's been called up. Also doesn't Sims still qualify for the U19's? can't believe he isn't good enough for them either.

    Those shots of people congratulating JWP in training shots and then James shaking hands with Redmond were pretty telling.

    Hope JWP has a stormer, then the press start linking him with a move away. Just so he can come out and 'no thanks, I'm happy.'
